Whatever you do, don't go to the T.G.I. Friday's in Times Square. There are some cool restaurants in Little Italy that are worth checking out.

When I was in NY, little Italy and China town for pho was fabulous. Also found a little restaurant in Greenwich village, which was super cheap for beer and sliders. Found so many fabulous places just by walking around.

Spice Market in meat packing district was amazing; Semilla in Brooklyn more amazing. But need to make reservations. Lure fish bar also great in Chelsea Momofuko noodle bar in East Village is also a must do. They don't take reservations so could stand in line for an hour or there is the No Wait app. Russ and daughters for best lox. City Bakery is great, Murrays Cheese. And Eataly has several unique Italian restaurant options. Soo many great food experiences in nyc. There are also walking food tours that are fun, and you get to see and try diff small local spots! Have fun!

Omg I totally forgot about Russ and daughters! Most expensive but best lox I've ever had!

Aquagrill for the most amazing oysters. So, so good. The $18Usd cocktails...not so much. Got sick after eating at Russ & Daughter restaurant so wouldn't recommend. Lady M green tea mille crepe cake in The Plaza food court was delicious. The Halal Guys but go to the one on 53rd and 7th for no lineup. Ed's Lobster Bar in soho for the lobster roll and cocktails. And honestly you can never go wrong popping into a Pret a Manger haha.
Don
Red Rooster in Harlem, Le Bernadin in Midtown, Dos Caminos in Meatpacking District, Old Homestead Steakhouse, Katz Deli, Junior's Diner and Leo's Bagels were some of our faves.
Jan
Carmine's Restaurant, before or after the theatre, as it is right in the heart of the theatres. We were just there recently, again and prefer to go after the theatre as we always leave with leftovers.
Parlour Steakhouse (UES) for Saturday brunch, starts at 11am. $29 gives you options of entrees like eggs Benedict and includes 5 drinks with options like mimosas, bloody Mary's, etc.

You have to go to Carmine's! The most amazing Italian food. I was recommended to go from a couple of people - it was unreal! I tell people to go all the find and never heard of disappointment.
