Can some who knows from personal experience THEE ABSOLUTE BEST top notch resort for toddlers in Mexico (Caribbean side). The MOST activities. The BEST POOLS. Play rooms etc?? I am aware of ones that look “good” and the ones that have been recommended but i am specifically looking for the absolute BEST! TIA!

Xcaret was absolutely incredible, we are headed back with the kiddos in the new year. The resort stay includes access to all of the adventure parks, it was hands down the most incredible trip I've ever been on!

Brandee for a 2&4 yr old?? Sounds to be a bit too old for them?

Sonia ours are 6&2 and feel they would have a blast. The 2 parks are tons of nature and animals that they would love. The resort has day camps too which include access to baby stingrays and turtles they raise on site and release back to the wild, they also raise parrots on site its quite incredible. Lots of pools on site, even snorkeling through the canals all over the property. Food was incredible too

Brandee i just went thru all the pics on expedia for that resort and there were 75 photos. Not one single photo of a playground, kiddy pool, activities or playrooms

I second Xcaret hotel... amazing and worth the money!

We used to take our kids to the Barcelo (Mayan Riviera). They have a great little water park for kids (Barcy water park) Also have a kids program that you can put the kids into (Barcy kids club) while you relax close by. Lots of other fun activities too like painting pottery and mini golf for kids a bit older (and adults of course).

I second this. Went earlier in the year with 6 adults and six kids (ranging from 3-10) and it was great for the kids! I believe there are five hotels all together. You have access to all except barcelo palace. So plenty of pool and spray park options. Also huge buffet so plenty to pick from.

Just to add, we have only ever stayed at the Colonial section which is pretty central and closest to the waterpark. That was awhile ago (my boys are now 20 and 22) but friends have gone recently and still have great things to say. It sounds like there are even more options now for kids.

Why Mexico? If I had young kids and wanted the absolute best, I would choose Four Seasons Maui hands down.

Sandos Caracol Eco Resort outside of Playa was fantastic! We got married there in 2017. They have a little petting zoo on site of rescue animals, you can feed monkeys that roam loose, they have an aquatic water park for both little & big kids, 3 cenotes right on site where you can swim & snorkel in them, a great kids club, good variety of restaurants. You can get rooms with bunk beds. We were pleased and it was a great choice for all ages. They also have a sister resort you can go to that has mini golf and a cat petting zoo lol

We also took the kids to the Barcelo Maya (also listed above) they’re waterpark was pretty cool too but I think Sandos was better personally.

Sandos has tons of great activites no excursion necessary. They have a water park, petting zoo, bikes, cenotes to snorkel on, mayan ruins, and more! My son loved it.
