Which 5-star all inclusive resort in Mexico is perfect for a family of 5?

Looking for suggestions for an all inclusive resort in Mexico for a family of 5. Must be 5 star, have an excellent kids club, great pools, beach waterslides or other family activity. We tried Sandos Caracol last year and loved it but looking to try somewhere new! Thanks so much! — looking for recommendations.

I wouldn’t say this has a ton for kids to do, I’ve been. No water slides, beach is amazing though.

It does but it’s slow and a knee scraper

Meh. It was a nice resort but I wouldn’t go back. There are nicer ones with way more stuff to do.

Amanda which other ones? I thought this was so huge - lots of jungle and wild life plus so many activities.

Barcelo Mayan Riviera has mini golf, water park w/surf ride, tots water park, bowling, pool, arcade, kids and a teen disco, haunted house, kids club took them to see the dolphins and had cooking classes, everyday vendor market. I’m honestly probably forgetting stuff. Barcelo Manzanillo had a water slide, multi level pool with cenotes, amazing kids club, they even got to perform on stage one night. If I were to go back to grand Sirenis it would be without my kids, the beach is amazing but we gear our vacations towards the kids getting the most out of it, staying busy and crashing after dinner lol we travel every 3-4 months

FYI, Depending when you go... kids club isn’t always running. We were there in February and the kids club wasn’t running any of their activities because it was slower.

Barcelo Maya Beach / Caribe / Colonial / Tropical / Palace won’t find a better family resort. Kids club is he best we’ve seen and there is an endless amount of stuff to do in the resort for all ages. I could go on and on. I could stay here with my fam for weeks.

That was my suggestion too. They have joining rooms so can likely accommodate a family of five.

Amanda second this!

It’s literally the best family resort. Out of all the places our kids have gone they will always say this was their fav. The kids club was above and beyond.

I’ve looked here. Can’t book a family of 5 from my research. I’d love if you told me otherwise, I’d be very happy. We went to Palladium Vallarta twice before children and would love to go back, but we have a family of 5.

I’m not trying to hijack your post, Susan, I just want to ask people responding - are you merely just answering favorite resorts or are you answering the specific question? It is very hard to find a resort that you can book a family of 5 into. So please, unless Susan is asking otherwise, only respond if you have experience or KNOW that you can book a family of 5. You’d think it would be automatic, but it most certainly is not. Speaking from experience.

The post (at least from my point of view) just expresses they are a family of 5 so many are not likely to know this is a booking issue at some resorts unless they are in the industry or have traveled as a family of 5. I personally had no idea until you posted as any resort I have ever been to has suites with 2 queens and a pull out sofa so most likely are as I was, just mentioning places they have been or researched and booked. The
Ocean Riviera Paradise I recommended does for sure have suites with max occ of 5 with 4 adults max or 3 children max so may be worth a look for those that are a family of 5.

Barcelos always have family suites, 2 beds plus a sofa or you can get 2 adjoined rooms.

I was wondering the same in August when we booked. Family of 5 = limited options. We booked Hard Rock Mayan Riviera. They have Family Suites. Hoping it’ll be great!

We go to RIU Jalisco. We are a family of 5 soon to be 6. I don't find it hard to book for all and I have from teenagers to toddlers. I like Riu because of its "fun 4 all" and kids club

Hard rock hotel riviera maya - there are more places than you think with suites they just aren’t online booking friendly. We booked for 6 and needed to use a TA as it was mere impossible to book ourselves as the sites wouldn’t allow our choices, but rooms are available to suit your needs

THE GRAND MOON PALACE! Rated #1 in Cancun on trip advisor! Waterpark, waterslide, lazy river, bumper cars, arcade, bowling alley....20 restaurants.... I suggest booking through a member! Kids are free , its way cheaper than going through a travel agent or websites, and you get more perks! Message me if you'd like the name of the lady we book though!
