we stayed here and really enjoyed it. large metro station within a block. It is very close to the main train station as well, we came in on the train and walked to the hotel, in about 5-10 minutes.
We had a suite and it was very large especially for Paris.

Look at Messy Nessy Chic’s blog. Great hotel and restaurant recommendations. Also beautiful hidden sites to see. Charming. Her book “don’t be a tourist in Paris” is awesome.

Stay in the Latin Quarter. Close to many of the sites, and a great vibe. Don't really have any hotel recommendations. I find reviews on booking sites helpful.

Airbnb all the way. I just happened to look at the place we stayed in last year while perusing Airbnb the other day, it’s been taken off the list! They’re probably living there at the moment. Latin Quarter all the way. Second visit to Paris, best place to stay so far.
Linda
Thanks to everyone for the recommendations.

Around the corner to the right of the Moulin Rouge Thtr. Gift shop on the corner. Just as you start to walk up the grade on the left was a fabulous newly renovated place only a few short yrs ago. It was up a few floors. If you come to a nice coffee shop on the left, market/s w/ wonderful selections, you’ve gone too far.
Derek
The market/s are across from the cafe as u go up the grade. There is a train stop u/g right there
