We stayed there 10 years ago and it was ok. Might have changed since then. We prefer Nueva Vallarta over that area.

We stayed there about 10 years ago also. It was great value for your money probably about a three star. Like that we could walk to places from there.

Many years ago we stayed there and would never go back. It was college student heaven and very noisy and rowdy. Might have changed?

I stayed there about 6 years ago and I liked it. Not amazing, but good value. Lots of restaurants nearby that you could walk to for a change for supper. Lots of things to do in and around the area. Great boogie boarding at the resort and they provide the boogie boards. It has about 5 a la carte restaurants. The biggest complaint I had was that they had different levels of bracelets so some people got better service and others (me with a regular bracelet) got treated less well.

We stayed there 2 years ago and I would not go back. They give preferential treatment to Nationals and allow the public to use the beds on the beach for tips.

We have stayed there a few times. Find it good value for your money, markets and shopping within close walking distance, great restaurants near by. Have it booked for March this year.

Stayed 2 years ago over NYE, lots of locals but we enjoyed that and had a great time. Was the best bang for your buck over New Years so we stayed there. Nicer beach than we expected and decent choice of reservable restaurants but if budget allows, would probably go with another location in Mexico.

I stayed at the El Cid Granada in October. For the price I paid I thought it was an excellent resort and we used all the amenties at the Castilla and the Moro. Definitely give it a shot especially if it's a good sale.

It was pretty good but beware the timeshare sales pitches and their leisure club sales pitches. Just say NO!

I agree with all of the above...you get what you pay for. We went there the very 1st time we did an AI trip to Mexico...it was fine, no complaints. Had no idea about paying more for better levels of service but we did notice others getting better treatment than us. We were so green
. We felt safe, and it was nice to be able to walk to so many close places...the beach is flat - so nice for walking cuz your ankles don't get sore from the angle. Have never found a flatter beach for walking on since. We spend a little more to stay at nicer places now, but if your budget is restricted, this place is fine.
