You must purchase the meal. Must be ordered ahead of time but sandwiches are available, too.

I second what Andrea said - they are one of my favourite airlines! They have great customer service and one of the best experiences I've had in the air.

My best friend just flew them to Europe. She's an avid traveler and has flown many many airlines. She said they were ok...not great, but not horrible. Food was purchase only, so be prepared for that or buy your own before you leave.

Karen It could depend on the route. It's always good to check these days. Pretty soon we'll have to pay for our seatbelts if we want them. Lol!

I just flew van to Iceland and it was ok at best. No food even after an EIGHT HOUR DELAY. No free drinks like all the other airlines headed to Europe, but I mean also cheaper so I get it.

My Experience Flying with Icelandic Air

Hi Karen,

I have flown with Icelandic Air a few times and I can say that they are a good and reliable airline. Here are some reasons why:

  • Great Service: The flight attendants are friendly and attentive, making sure that passengers are comfortable throughout the flight.
  • On-Time Performance: Icelandic Air has a good track record of being punctual, which is important for those who have connecting flights or tight schedules.
  • Comfortable Seats: The seats on Icelandic Air flights are comfortable and provide enough legroom for a pleasant journey.
  • Good In-Flight Entertainment: They offer a variety of movies, TV shows, and music to keep passengers entertained during the flight.
  • Safe and Reliable: Icelandic Air follows strict safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe and secure travel experience.

Overall, I would recommend flying with Icelandic Air for a pleasant and reliable travel experience. Safe travels!
