August would prob be less busy cause the locals are back in school but it is super hot there then
Derek
Find out when they go back to school. Go on that day. We did this and it's still busy but not crazy. Also hotels are a bit cheaper.
We found the heat wasn't that bad at the end of August 2 years ago
Alexis
Last two weeks of August most American schools are back in session so it would be a less busy time.
Joanne
August is unbearable
It was 114F and we could see the heat.
Anne
February is excellent.
Lisa
February. The weather is pleasant but not hot. The crowds are low which means more ride times and shorter lines.
Lisa
If you choose may, be aware of the USA memorial weekend. One of the parks busiest times
Betty
We travel to WDW about 2 x per year - May and Oct. Crowds less busy in Oct and staff have told us Sept is a quiet month because it’s back to school for most kids
Betty
The only thing with Feb is it can be quite a bit cooler. Do not great of you’d like some warmth. Late Oct can run 25 to 30 with evenings cooling down
Joanne
Elizabeth Betty we’ve made 53 trips. And Dec - Feb we have worn rain coats or down jackets. It can be so cold. I love late Nov when it’s decorated for Christmas but very quiet. And late March when it’s the gardening exhibit.
Lisa
Jo-anne Nugent Sexsmith really. We went in February twice and wore jeans, T-shirts and light jackets/sweaters at night. No rain either
Betty
Jo-anne Nugent Sexsmith wow - 53 that’s awesome. I prefer when it’s warmer for sure. We have been there first week of November and have had best of both worlds- warm weather but enjoyed the magic of Christmas decorations
Laura
we did February and wore shorts. Even spent days at the pool.
Lisa
Late August isn't too bad, school goes back earlier in the states than Canada
Tracy
And weather?
Lisa
Tracy weather was great. Warm but not unbearable. it was 23-28, I think one day was 32. We went second and third week of August.
Tracy
Lisa, thank you!
Lisa
Tracy have fun,
Stan
What part of Japan will you go to?

The Best Time to Visit Disney World in Summer
Summer is undoubtedly one of the busiest seasons at Disney World, with families taking advantage of school vacations to plan their magical getaways. However, there are some differences between visiting in July versus August that might influence your decision.
July vs. August Crowds
Traditionally, July is considered the busier of the two months, with peak attendance around the Fourth of July holiday. The weeks surrounding this holiday tend to be especially crowded, with long lines and packed parks. August, on the other hand, tends to be slightly less crowded, as many families have already taken their summer vacations in July.
Weather Conditions
Both July and August in Orlando, Florida, where Disney World is located, are known for their hot and humid weather. Average high temperatures in July typically range from 90°F to 92°F (32°C to 34°C), while in August, the average highs are slightly higher, around 92°F to 94°F (33°C to 34°C). However, with the humidity factored in, it can feel even hotter.
Additionally, Florida's summer months are known for their frequent thunderstorms, which can bring relief from the heat but also disrupt outdoor activities. These storms can pop up suddenly and last for an hour or two before clearing out.
Tips for Visiting Disney World in Summer
Regardless of whether you choose to visit in July or August, here are some tips to make the most of your Disney World experience during the hot summer months:
- Stay hydrated and take breaks in air-conditioned areas to beat the heat.
- Arrive early at the parks to beat the crowds and take advantage of shorter lines in the morning.
- Consider purchasing a Disney World Park Hopper ticket, which allows you to hop between different parks on the same day, giving you more flexibility.
- Utilize the Disney World transportation system (buses, monorails, and boats) to avoid walking long distances in the heat.
- Plan for afternoon thunderstorms by bringing ponchos or rain jackets and seeking shelter when storms approach.
Ultimately, whether you choose to visit Disney World in July or August, you'll need to be prepared for crowds and hot weather. However, with proper planning and a positive attitude, you can still create magical memories at the "Most Magical Place on Earth."

Hi, is there a ‘better’ time to travel to Disney World in the summer (July vs August), or is crazy busy all summer long? And just how hot does it get?
