drive the coast to La jolla, great spot. The restaurant at the end of the pier is good, old 50 style diner. great place to watch the surfers. Torree pines nature reserve is a nice place to hike, around 30 min from oceanside.
Jane
Paul both sound perfect - thanks!

Yellow Deli in Carlsbad is really good. Take the Coaster and then the Ferry over to Coronado Island. Rent some bikes and spend the day exploring....we did this twice when we were there last March. Sand/ beach in front of the Hotel Coronada is better than some of the beaches we were on in Hawaii.
Jane
Lori this sounds like a perfect day for us. Thanks so much - it’s at the top of the list!

We ate here last month and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
