Question:

Hi!!
Need help. Thinking of a last minute family trip for 2 weeks, end of June -July.
Need something FUN, easy & relaxing.
Family of three with an 11 year old. Don’t want to break the bank but have a ton of air points. Looking for any idea or solidly recommended destinations or hotels. We are outdoorsy- love biking on paved trails, beaches, seeing culture, amusement parks really down for any memorable family trip that will be fun & easy (not a bunch of planning & research). I am usually type A control/planning freak but have been unwell so we just need to hang together & enjoy! Was thinking Bali but not sure if 2 weeks enough?
Any one have any thought...
Thanks so much!!

Come to my home... Costa Rica! It is the rainy season but it"s pretty nice. Inexpensive at this time of year.

My kids loved Belize! And Costa Rica. I am a Disney nut so I'd say you can't go wrong with Florida- Disney and beaches

Heidi thanks any accommodation recommendations or really any recommendations of any type for Belize?
I’m eyes aren’t great so loads of research is tough right now
We are considering Disney both Cali & fl but it’s last minute and expensive. Might not be the best bang for our buck but it’s a contender

Idaho has a lovely lake area called Coeur d’Alene. Amusement parks: You can go to Silverwood Theme park and Boulder Beach for the day from there.

Last Minute Family Vacation Ideas

It's understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed with the thought of planning a last-minute family trip, especially when you're feeling unwell. But don't worry, I'm here to help!

Here are a few ideas for fun, easy, and relaxing destinations that you can consider for your 2-week trip in late June and early July:

  • Hawaii

  • The Big Island of Hawaii offers a wide variety of activities for families, including biking on paved trails, swimming at beautiful beaches, visiting volcanoes, and exploring lush rainforests. You can also find plenty of family-friendly resorts and hotels on the island.

  • Florida

  • Florida is another great option for a family vacation. You can visit the beaches of the Gulf Coast or the Atlantic Coast, explore the theme parks of Orlando, or take a day trip to the Kennedy Space Center.

  • National Parks

  • If you're looking for a more outdoorsy vacation, consider visiting one of our national parks. There are many national parks that offer biking trails, hiking trails, and other activities for families.

  • California

  • California has something for everyone, from beaches to mountains to deserts. You can visit the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, go hiking in Yosemite National Park, or relax on the beaches of Santa Monica.

I hope these ideas help you plan your last-minute family trip. Remember to be flexible and go with the flow, and most importantly, have fun!
