Keith they didn’t say travel time was included, but I get your point. When we travel that many hours we usually stay 3-4 weeks. Just thought if money was no object some of the Maldives resorts are thousands a night

because of the short amount of time to really go anywhere - I would do NYC

Because it’s only 4 days it shouldn’t be a long flight. And probably direct or minimal layover. So, Palm Springs, Las Vegas ,Phoenix or San Diego come to mind. Quick flights for all. Don’t rule out flying out of Bellingham ( Southwest Airlines flies from there now)or Abbotsford either. Seattle traffic is brutal and the airport is on the far side of Seattle. One benefit of flying from the USA from a USA airport is no CoViD test departing. From Canada to USA you need a test first and no test to drive across US border from Canada

Sheila I was just looking at things in Vegas last night. Maybe go for a weekend and see a concert or two. Vegas hotels were cheap when I looked last fall, but now they have gone up x4 (for May 2022).

Natalie we were just there last week. We found that overall pricing on the strip has decreased. A cocktail at any of the hotels is now 13-14$ vs the previous 19$

If you like outdoors, you could fly to Vegas, rent a car and visit Zion and Bryce Canyons, two spectacular spots. In normal times, you could rent a car from Vegas airport quite economically (not sure of prices these days). On several occasions, I've used E-z Rentacar and have been pleased....no hidden fees, good prices and no nonsense. Sedona, AZ also has a lot to offer.

If Money Were No Object, Where Would You Go for 4 Nights at the End of March for 2 Adults, out of YVR or SEA?

If you're looking for a luxurious getaway at the end of March, and money is no object, here are a few ideas for where to go from YVR (Vancouver International Airport) or SEA (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport):

From YVR:

  • Tokyo, Japan: A vibrant metropolis with a rich culture and history. Visit the iconic Tokyo Tower, shop in the bustling Shinjuku district, and indulge in delicious Japanese cuisine.
  • Bora Bora, French Polynesia: A tropical paradise with crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches, and luxurious overwater bungalows. Relax on the beach, snorkel or dive in the lagoon, and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.
  • Dubai, United Arab Emirates: A modern and opulent city with world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment. Visit the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and experience the vibrant nightlife in the Dubai Marina.

From SEA:

  • Maui, Hawaii: A beautiful island with stunning beaches, lush rainforests, and active volcanoes. Hike to the summit of Haleakala Crater, snorkel or scuba dive in the crystal-clear waters, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
  • Kyoto, Japan: A historic and cultural city with ancient temples, traditional tea houses, and beautiful gardens. Visit the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, stroll through the Gion district, and experience the unique atmosphere of this ancient capital.
  • Maldives: A collection of idyllic islands with white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and luxurious resorts. Relax on the beach, go for a swim in the warm Indian Ocean, and enjoy the stunning sunsets.

No matter which destination you choose, you're sure to have an unforgettable getaway. Enjoy the luxury and pampering that comes with having unlimited funds, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
