Is All Nippon Airways good? Curious about seat space, food and entertainment options. It's one of the airlines we are looking at to fly to and from Japan.

As long as you're not using aeroplan points. Their fuel surcharges are outrageous, and passed onto users of "free" tickets.

Then you're fine, but watch the baggage allowance on discount sites. It is often better to book direct if you need max. baggage. Often the cheaper price limits you to one bag on some airlines going to Asia.

Seeing that list from Edson, I don't see why Cathay should be on the list. Flown on 2 trips to SEA and totally not impressed. That's why I'm flying JAL in November. Singapore Air for all round service and Turkish for the food tops my list (haven't tried the others yet)

They are really great budget airline for travelling to Asia. Just becareful for the tall people that some planes don't have a whole lot of leg room, but totally dependent on the plane itself. Good food, good service, look for great deals!!

We nabbed a great deal on ANA to Bangkok last year. Very satisfied with the service (professional and very polite), food etc. Would not hesitate to fly with them again.

I used them last January to Bangkok as well. I would also use them again!

Is All Nippon Airways Good for Flights to Japan?

If you're planning a trip to Japan, choosing the right airline can make a big difference in your overall travel experience. All Nippon Airways (ANA) is one of the major Japanese airlines, and here's what you need to know about their service to help you make an informed decision.

Seat Space

ANA is known for offering relatively generous seat pitch (the distance between one seat and the one in front of it) compared to many other airlines. In economy class, the seat pitch ranges from 31 to 34 inches, which can make a significant difference in legroom and overall comfort, especially on long-haul flights.

Food

ANA takes pride in its in-flight meals, featuring Japanese cuisine and international options. The airline is praised for the quality and presentation of its meals, even in economy class. You can expect fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and attractive plating. ANA also caters to various dietary requirements, including vegetarian, kosher, and halal meals upon request.

Entertainment Options

ANA offers a comprehensive in-flight entertainment system called "ANA Inflight Entertainment" (AIE). Passengers can enjoy a wide selection of movies, TV shows, music, and games on their personal seatback screens or through the airline's mobile app. The system is regularly updated with the latest content, ensuring you'll have plenty of options to keep you entertained during your flight.

Additionally, ANA provides noise-canceling headphones in premium cabins and can be rented in economy class for a fee. Wi-Fi connectivity is also available on most flights, allowing you to stay connected and work or browse the internet during your journey.

Overall Experience

All Nippon Airways is consistently ranked among the top airlines in the world for its exceptional service, safety record, and in-flight experience. The airline is known for its punctuality, friendly and attentive cabin crew, and attention to detail. While ANA's fares may be slightly higher than some budget carriers, the overall quality and comfort make it a popular choice for travelers to Japan.

Whether you're flying for business or leisure, ANA offers a pleasant and comfortable experience, making it a great option for your trip to Japan.
