What about American Carriers? I'm trying to fly someone out of the states to Calgary and back.

...and why would they post the fares now? Isn't that going against the concept of "Black Friday", meaning...WAIT TILL FRIDAY?
Linda
Black Friday doesn't mean it starts on that day anymore. Many stores have their sales as of midnight today. Even for boxing day sales, sales started on Dec 23 last year...

You will get better travel deals on Cyber Monday
Rachel
Exactly Bev! Just checked and I didn't find any good deals!
Colin
Deborah, you know this for a fact? Would you mind elaborating on your statement please?
Karen
I priced out Mexico in February and flights alone at cheapest were $4300.... Black Friday is supposedly on now. Not good. Will Wait.
Vanessa
I think westjet also released seats that weren't available earlier this month. For example, I booked San Diego for January and the dates I had previously entered and had no direct flight options suddenly had a select number of seats when they released their Black Friday promo. I ended up getting my return flight for 90$ cheaper than prices last week and direct!

Will Airlines Offer Black Friday or Cyber Monday Deals?
With the holiday season approaching, many travelers are wondering if they can snag discounted airfares during the popular shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Airlines have traditionally offered enticing deals and promotions around this time of year, but the extent of discounts can vary from year to year.
Airlines and Black Friday/Cyber Monday Promotions
Airlines have indeed participated in Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in the past, offering discounted fares, bonus miles, or other perks to attract customers. However, the deals are not always as straightforward or as deeply discounted as one might expect.
Some airlines may offer modest discounts on select routes or travel dates, while others might run promotions like double or triple miles on flight bookings. It's not uncommon for airlines to offer sales or discounts during this period, but the extent and specifics of the deals can vary greatly.
Tips for Finding the Best Deals
- Be flexible with travel dates: Airfares tend to be lower for travel dates during off-peak periods or when demand is lower. Flexibility in your travel dates can increase your chances of finding better deals.
- Sign up for airline email alerts: Many airlines offer advance notice of upcoming sales or promotions to their email subscribers. Sign up for alerts from your preferred airlines to stay informed about any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals.
- Check third-party travel sites: In addition to airline websites, keep an eye on popular travel booking sites like Expedia, Travelocity, or Kayak. They often compile and advertise airline deals during major shopping events.
- Be ready to act quickly: When airlines do offer Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals, they tend to sell out quickly. Be prepared to book promptly if you find a deal that suits your travel needs.
While it's not guaranteed that every airline will offer significant discounts during Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it's worth keeping an eye out for potential deals. With a bit of flexibility and diligence, you may be able to snag a discounted ticket for your upcoming travel plans.

Does anyone know if airlines are going to have a Black Friday or Cyber Monday Special? I'm wanting to purchase a ticket at a discounted price. Have they done it in the past?
