I would say more people speak French than English. We went in February a few years ago and it was also quite cold. Amazing country, would definitely go back!

Sorry, yeah, that's what I meant... you can get by with English but if you know French you'll have no problems at all

I use hotwire .com to find hotels in rabat and Casablanca this summer. There's one thing that annoys me about morocco taxi drivers sucks.

Spent 11 days there in august. But stayed in a hostel. There lots of hotels and some really expensive ones just outside the old Merida. Depends on when your going it gets really hot there. They gives Spanish siesta a whole different meaning.

We were there for a week or so in spring with a guide(fortunately) through Intredip Travel. Positive opinion in general. The Riad we stayed at is inside the Medina.

How was the quality of your desert tour with intripid. The dinner the hotel and the transport. Also what was the cost of the tour. Was it worth the cost.

Can't actually give you a breakdown as we used them for a month plus through Portugal & Morocco. We did a camp stay in desert and road the canals. We were a group of 8 so could customize tour. You may be able to join a group that is booked. Very grad we were with a group & guide.

I've done the Sahara tour in morocco. But booked it at Marrakesh for 80€. Overall the tour was good but the camp and the food was not great. I could not even eat the food at the camp. Was worried that I'll get sick from it.

Food was fine for us. Don't know that I would do it again but off bucket list. You actually can book individual parts with tour company. Guides are also available through Riads or hotels.
