Not June to September ... Much too humid and hot, September is very wet. Winter is really mild compared to ours.

During cherry blossom season

Very depends what you wanna do there . If you wanna see Sakura then go there between end of March and beginning of April. Or go in winter for their hot spring!
Katia
Is going September 5-16... Anyone know of the rain is bad at that times
Caitlyn
Fall and spring. Late March and April is best if you want to see the cherry blossoms. Late April and mid May is best if you want to see the flower fields in full bloom (very pretty, totally recommend them). Hakone is especially pretty in October!

Best Time to Visit Tokyo or Osaka, Japan
Japan is a breathtaking destination that offers a unique blend of modern and traditional culture, stunning natural landscapes, and an incredible culinary scene. Whether you're planning to visit Tokyo, the vibrant capital, or Osaka, the foodie's paradise, timing your trip can significantly enhance your overall experience.
Spring (March to May)
Spring is arguably one of the best times to visit Japan, particularly if you want to witness the legendary cherry blossom season, known as "hanami." From late March to early May, the country is adorned with stunning pink blossoms, and both Tokyo and Osaka offer numerous picturesque spots to admire this natural spectacle. However, be prepared for large crowds and higher accommodation prices during this peak season.
Autumn (September to November)
Autumn in Japan is a close second to spring in terms of popularity among travelers. The cooler temperatures and the changing colors of the foliage create a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Both Tokyo and Osaka offer numerous parks and gardens where you can enjoy the vibrant fall foliage, such as Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in Tokyo and Osaka Castle Park. Additionally, the autumn months are ideal for hiking and outdoor activities.
Winter (December to February)
While winter may not be the most popular time to visit Japan, it can be a delightful and unique experience. Tokyo and Osaka offer a plethora of indoor activities, from shopping and dining to visiting museums and experiencing the lively nightlife. Additionally, winter is an excellent time to indulge in the famous hot spring resorts, known as "onsen," and witness the beautiful snow-capped landscapes in the nearby mountains.
Summer (June to August)
Summer in Japan can be hot and humid, especially in Tokyo and Osaka. However, it's also a great time to enjoy various outdoor festivals, such as the famous Gion Matsuri in Kyoto and the Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival in Tokyo. If you don't mind the heat and crowds, summer can be an exciting time to explore these vibrant cities and witness the local celebrations.
Ultimately, the best time to visit Tokyo or Osaka depends on your personal preferences and the experiences you're seeking. Whether you're drawn to the cherry blossoms, fall foliage, or winter wonderlands, Japan offers a diverse range of attractions and activities throughout the year.
