Definitely go to the jump up in Gros Islet on Friday night, so fun!

Sal thanks

I'm wondering why you chose St Lucia? That would help for recommendations. We've been there a couple of times from cruises ships and enjoyed our day but if I was to go back to an island there are others I prefer more.
When are you thinking of going? Have you looked at skyscanner? Trip Central?
Rhonda
Having said that if you do end up at St Lucia, see the Pitons, of course. If you are into hiking you can hike them. There is one white sand beach near them, imported sand, with a really good snorkeling area.
If you like jet boats, Spencer Ambrose has really great tours to the mud bath, water falls and beach/snorkeling site. Hold on to your hat!
Samantha
Rhonda we have already visit Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Hawaii.
We thought of St Lucia for the beautiful beaches, hiking, and snorkelling while still having the option of being pampered at a spa.
We enjoy an atmosphere of local restaurants to visit but not into clubbing.
I’d love to hear if you think a different island would be a better fit.
Rhonda
Samantha You might enjoy St Lucia but choose your location wisely. Mountainous, windy roads etc. Soufriere is a bit on the rough side. For pampering you will definitely want a resort.
Sugar Beach is nice with a good snorkeling area, we've been twice. It's man-made, the sand was brought there from Barbados. Should be lots of hiking around.
Have you considered Barbados or the ABC islands? Barbados has quite a few large, beautiful, natural beaches, good snorkeling, larger hill areas that would be good for hiking. Restaurants are no problem.
We really enjoyed Aruba stayed for two weeks a couple of years ago. Beautiful beaches! Interesting geography, some great tours or car rental destinations etc. If you decide to go there I have some snorkeling places to recommend.
Bonaire has fabulous snorkeling. It's a flat island, salt flats, golf cart rentals etc
Curacao is a well developed Dutch island. We've done some good snorkeling there too. Nice beaches, good resorts etc.
We enjoyed our day on St Kitts last year. I'd recommend it as well. Really good snorkeling there.
All of the above have good restaurants.
Other good choices could be St Thomas or St John. Look up Megan's Bay, great beach and there are others as well. St John is on our want to go to list.
St Maarten/St Maarten is great. Lots of beautiful beaches and resorts there! Good snorkeling. Hiking on a hilly island. French, Dutch and Caribbean food!
Usually it's the lack of flights from here that determines the destination. Have to go via Toronto, Miami, Houston etc. skyscanner can help your figure out routing. Trip Central can help you figure out packages. Or you could book it independently.

We stayed at the Royalton. Have not stayed anywhere else but we enjoyed the resort. It had a great beach.
It was far down the island. Our kids got terrible car sick the way to the resort. So take gravel the roads are twists and turns and avoiding pot holes.
We ended up taking a helicopter back to the resort. It’s was well worth it!

My friend and I went for 11 days there. We rented an air bnb which was right on the water in gros ilet. The couple who owned it set up transportation from the airport. It was walking distance to pigeon point - had to pay an entrance fee but we would have the whole beach to ourselves. We would also walk to Rodney bay where all the shops and “nightlife” were. We flew with westjet with connection in Toronto
Samantha
Kimberle thank you!
I would have had no idea about pigeon point. I have added that spot to the list

Samantha and at the beach there an old man in a raft comes up sells drinks in coconuts -we loved them
