I took a Mediterranean cruise a couple of years ago on the Ruby Princess, mostly Greece but also Italy, Turkey and Croatia. Check out www.vacationstogo.com $799 for 12 nights with 11 ports of call. It's a nice way to see lots, unpack once, & move from place to place while you sleep!

To fly there your cheapest option is to find your cheapest flight into Europe period, and then from there hop on a budget flight with easyjet or ryanair into Greece. If you don't want to do the budget airline thing at all, I got a really cheap deal on british airways from London to Athens the last time I went (190 bucks) . Best!

I flew from Rome to Athens then island hopped from santorini, Mykonos and Naxos hostel world was great for accommodations
