Chiang Mai is fantastic!

The elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai!!! But book way ahead. The weekend night market is also amazing and magical!! I loved Chiang Mai and stayed longer than planned. Stayed at Sleep Guesthouse and loved it! I also spent about a week in Koh Lanta and loved it there as well.. beautiful, quiet beaches.
. Have a blast!

Pai is beautiful, small northern village. It's so quaint and beautiful but has a fun atmosphere. Chiang mai is a must. The culture here is incredible. Spend a day walking around the old town going to all of the old temples, the weekend night marker is awesome, the temple up in the mountains is beautiful. We stayed at absolute house here...the owners are wonderful. Krabi was kind of overrated in my opinion...too many tourists, there's better beaches elsewhere. If you do go there though, hike up to the tiger cave temple....the views from the top are like nothing else! Koh lanta is a wonderful, less touristy island. It has a very laid back vibe, many beautiful beaches that aren't packed with people, and lots of little markets. If you go to Bangkok, take the train to ayutthaya then rent a bike and ride to all of the old temple ruins.
