Cruise is the best! The kids will love the clubs - we took our son on cruises from age 9 to 17 and he always had a great time - unpack once and see so much plus it's all inclusive - entertainment meals hotel and transportation!
Ken
Cruise is one of the best investment. You have everything inside. Recommended!

whale watching in Hawaii, get an apartment along Maui's west coast and you can even spot them from your balcony. Playing in the sand, watch the big waves, go for a hike along the dragon's tooth rock formations north of Lahaina... so fun!

Are you thinking over the Xmas holidays? If you are leaning towards an all inclusive then Grand Palladium south of Cancun. It will be very busy tho. If you would like peace and quiet with a 2 bedroom condo and pool for the kids, I have a place in Tulum
Megan
Costa Rica! Who doesn't love monkeys in the trees outside your villa, horseback riding, zip lining, snorkeling and delicious food
Henry
We did Puerto Rico last year as our cruise left from that port. We were pleasantly surprised with Puerto Rico itself and plan on just doing a vaction to there alone. I agree with some of the other folks here, a family friendly cruise is another way to go.

Cruises are a great deal in the first 3 weeks of December. My friend Audrey is an amazing cruise specialist - in fact she's on one right now. If you are thinking cruise. Talk to her
Audrey
Thank you Norma! just arrived Paris last night after a glorious time sailing the Med. Back to work on June 2nd.
Wendy
I suggest a cruise also - they love to keep kids busy and having fun.
Jeff
Christina Lake, BC. Then put the money you save towards your kids' future.

Woops, missed the"December" part... Go south! haha. Mexico changed my life when I was 16. I would recommend Puerto Vallarta. It's much more of a cultural experience compared to Cancun.

Fantastic Family Vacation Ideas for December
December is a wonderful time for a family getaway, and with your kids aged 6 and 11, there are plenty of exciting options that don't involve theme parks. Here are some great ideas to consider:
Explore a Winter Wonderland
Why not embrace the winter season and plan a trip to a snowy destination? From skiing and snowboarding lessons to building snowmen and enjoying hot cocoa by the fire, a winter wonderland vacation can create lasting memories for the whole family.
- Colorado Rockies: Aspen, Vail, or Breckenridge offer world-class ski resorts and charming mountain towns.
- Vermont: Stowe, Killington, or Stratton are picturesque New England destinations with cozy lodges and excellent skiing.
- Canadian Rockies: Banff and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, are renowned for their breathtaking scenery and winter activities.
Discover a New City
If you prefer an urban escape, consider visiting a vibrant city with plenty of cultural attractions, museums, and family-friendly activities. Immerse yourselves in the local culture, try new cuisines, and create lasting memories together.
- New York City: From the iconic Central Park to the American Museum of Natural History and Broadway shows, NYC offers endless entertainment.
- Washington D.C.: Explore the Smithsonian museums, monuments, and learn about American history together.
- San Francisco: Experience the cable cars, Golden Gate Bridge, and explore the fun-filled Exploratorium science museum.
Enjoy a Beach Escape
If you're craving warmer weather, consider heading to a tropical or subtropical destination for some beach time and relaxation. Many resorts offer kid-friendly activities, water sports, and opportunities to learn about marine life.
- Hawaii: From the stunning beaches of Maui to the adventure-filled Big Island, Hawaii offers a perfect family escape.
- Florida Keys: Snorkel, kayak, or simply bask in the sun at these laid-back islands off the southern tip of Florida.
- Puerto Rico: Explore the vibrant culture, pristine beaches, and El Yunque National Forest in this Caribbean gem.
No matter where you choose to go, the most important thing is spending quality time together as a family, making memories that will last a lifetime.
