Brian
it would depend on which country issued your passport
Ekaterin
^ Check the website of the Costa Rican embassy/consulate, they should have all that info
Nadie
Ekaterin Brian thanks! and my passport was issued in Ghana which is termed as a third group on the website. It says: Nationals of countries listed in the Third Group and Fourth Group who have a legal permanence that allows multiple entries, and with a minimum validity of at least six months in the United States of America, Canada, and the countries of the European Union, are exempted from Consular Visa to enter Costa Rica.
Nadie
does that mean i can use my Canadian student visa?
Ekaterin
Sounds like as long as your Canadian student visa is valid for at least another 6 months from the day you enter Costa Rica, you should be good. But I would print this page just in case for some reason things change and you get a hard time at the border.
Norma
I would also explain this when booking your ticket. They might say they don't care but you've brought it up.
Biljana
Does Costa Rica have an embassy or consulate in Ottawa? I would find out and call them.
