Including flights? With that budget and limited time, I’d go somewhere in California - perhaps San Diego.

Newfoundland, every Canadian should travel all across our country at some point . The tough thing there is rental cars, I know there’s a shortage and they’re expensive so if you do go just book a rental car early .

If you want to travel in canada go to Vancouver Island and take the ferry north then travel back. Or go east and do maritines. With the strike with westjet, road trips might be the way to go.

If I only had 6 days I would not fly anywhere as you are going to lose 2 days in travel. I would take a nice drive down to Waterton Park, stay at the Kilmore Lodge, hike, relax, go to a spa and treat myself to all the things you don't get to do while at home.

Road trip the Oregon coast. With that budget, you could do it in style. And it's GORGEOUS.

Mexico. Check deals on flights I bought flights to PV or Cabo for 400 round trip pp. then if you stay at an all inclusive like RIU it’s 1600 for the room overall for 2 people If you book it separately you can pay for hotel when you arrive. This way you still come under budget.

Florcita how about exchange on her dollar ?

I'm including prices in Canadian. If you check the deals in flights from YYC deals, from Edmonton, Calgary or surrounding airports you can get great deals and then you book the hotels. I have a family of 6 and that's how I usually plan my trips to save the most. I just went to Mexico for 5000 CAD for a week in family day week. When you buy a package altogether is way more expensive.

Paris - Europe if you get room in a hostel. International hostels are invariably near main tourist attractions. Not sure if there is a good plane fare in August. Europeans holiday in August, so some things closed and others at their best then.

Canmore and Kananaskis Country
On your way back to Calgary, stop by Canmore, a charming mountain town. Take a leisurely walk along the downtown area, enjoy the local shops, cafes, and restaurants. If you have time, explore Kananaskis Country, a nearby provincial park offering fantastic hiking trails and scenic drives.

Where to Go with a $3000 Budget for 6 Days in August

Planning a trip for 6 days in August with a budget of around $3000 as a couple can open up a variety of exciting possibilities. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Explore the National Parks

Consider visiting one of the stunning national parks in the United States such as Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, or Yosemite. You can spend your days hiking, camping, and enjoying the breathtaking natural beauty.

2. Relax on a Beach Getaway

If you're looking to unwind and soak up the sun, consider a beach getaway to destinations like Hawaii, the Caribbean, or Mexico. You can enjoy snorkeling, sunbathing, and romantic sunset walks on the beach.

3. European City Break

For a cultural experience, consider a city break in Europe. Cities like Paris, Rome, or Barcelona offer a mix of history, art, and delicious cuisine. You can explore iconic landmarks, museums, and quaint streets.

4. Road Trip Adventure

If you prefer a more flexible itinerary, consider a road trip adventure. You can rent a car and explore scenic routes like the Pacific Coast Highway in California or the Great Ocean Road in Australia. Stop at charming towns, national parks, and local eateries along the way.

5. Tropical Island Paradise

If you dream of crystal-clear waters and palm trees, consider a tropical island getaway to destinations like Bali, Maldives, or Fiji. You can relax on the beach, snorkel in vibrant coral reefs, and indulge in spa treatments.

With a budget of $3000 for 6 days, you can cover accommodation, transportation, meals, and activities depending on the destination and your preferences. Remember to plan ahead, compare prices, and look for deals to make the most of your budget.

Wherever you decide to go, make sure to create lasting memories with your loved one and enjoy every moment of your trip!

Thank you for your question! Have a wonderful trip!
