Cuckooz Aldgate East are great apartments, located in the super cool Whitechapel/Brick Lane neighbourhood. Close to tube station (zone 1) with lots of cafes and bars nearby, as well as the Old Spitalfields Market. https://www.cuckooz.co.uk

We are too in Sept & booked 1 stay at air bnb that was on the cheap compared to a hotel (most shows up just a room with a bed but we were able to snag a room with a bed and a sectional sofa so more elbow room) \o/

Chris there isnt only one nice area in London.. Mayfair and Knightsbridge are the most expensive area. All I am saying is there is as nice places (that offer way more activities) for a much decent price. It's not about "skimp" it's about spending with you brain it your heart.

Lydz that was not what I meant. When on holiday paying a little extra for a nice hotel is very important. Lol. I did not say anything about the location

Waterloo is a petty cool neighbourhood with hipster cafe’s and some decent restaurants. Stayed right near tube station.

We recently stayed at a Z Hotel, there are several in London. They have free wine and cheese from 5-8 every evening. The rooms are pretty small. Use the code ZMEMBERS to get a discount. https://www.thezhotels.com/
