Depends the area. Sundial base of mountain is only minimally noisy on wknds around 1-3am but only if windows open...inner village is really loud at night on Wknds

Check through www.alluradirect.com. I always book through there. You can find a 1 bedroom condo for 3 nights for as little as $311.85 (total including GST).

Are you willing to camp? Try Riverside RV Resort. We stayed there on the long weekend and it was awesome!
Ryan
Be careful with parking rates, they're pricey if not included.
Hillary
There is free parking available in the day lots though. Just means you might have to walk a bit further.
Sharon
They have a restaurant across from gap in the village called the furniture warehouse( it's food k promise). Cheap eats. All appetizers. Big portions for 5$

Whistler on a Budget: Finding Affordable Accommodation for Your Hockey Tourney
Whistler is undoubtedly a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering breathtaking scenery and world-class amenities. However, its popularity often comes with a hefty price tag, especially during peak seasons. If you're planning a hockey tourney in Whistler from June 27-30 with an adult and a child, finding affordable accommodation can be a challenge. Fortunately, with some careful planning and resourcefulness, you can make your Whistler trip a reality without breaking the bank.
Private Vacation Rentals
One of the best options for budget-conscious travelers is to consider private vacation rentals. Websites like Airbnb, VRBO, and HomeAway offer a wide range of rental properties, from cozy apartments to spacious condos. By opting for a rental, you can often find better deals than traditional hotels, especially if you're willing to stay a bit further from the village center. Additionally, rentals provide the convenience of having your own kitchen, which can save you money on dining out.
Hostels
If you're truly on a shoestring budget, hostels can be an excellent choice. Whistler has a few hostels that offer dormitory-style accommodations at very reasonable rates. One popular option is the Whistler Hostel, which is conveniently located in the village and offers private rooms as well as dorms. While hostels may not provide the same level of privacy and amenities as hotels, they can be a great way to save money and meet fellow travelers.
Budget Hotels
While Whistler is known for its luxury hotels, there are a few budget-friendly options as well. The Fireside Lodge, which you mentioned, is a popular choice for those looking for affordable accommodation in the village. It offers basic but comfortable rooms and is within walking distance to many of Whistler's attractions. However, keep in mind that even budget hotels in Whistler can be pricey during peak seasons, so it's best to book well in advance.
Tips for Saving Money
- Book early: Reserving your accommodation as far in advance as possible can often save you a significant amount of money.
- Consider off-season rates: While your dates are during the summer season, mid-week rates may be slightly lower than weekends.
- Pack snacks and meals: Eating out in Whistler can be expensive. Packing some snacks and preparing meals in your rental or hostel kitchen can help you save on food costs.
- Explore free activities: Whistler offers plenty of free or low-cost activities, such as hiking trails, scenic walks, and parks, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings without breaking the bank.
Remember, while Whistler can be a pricey destination, with a little creativity and flexibility, you can make your hockey tourney trip a memorable and affordable experience. Don't hesitate to reach out to fellow travelers or locals for additional tips and recommendations.

Looking for three nights in Whistler mid week for a hockey tourney...would take a private vacation rental, hostel or hotel. June 27-30 adult and one child. Anybody stay at Fireside Lodge recently...have not been to Whistler in over 20 years. Sadly it is a pricey place to be on a budget....appreciate tips or options ...private messages welcome
