Spending 1 night in Whistler last half of August for 2 adults. Doesn't need to be fancy - just clean, fairly close to the village and won't break the bank. Prefer non-pet if possible due to allergies. Suggestions?

We stayed in a quiet 4plex lovely airbnb in Squamish if you don't mind the drive to Whistler. $98/night + low fees. Have the manager's phone number.

Whistler is one of the most dog friendly towns in BC so I’m not sure how severe your allergy is, but most hotels allow dogs in the rooms though some hotels specify a block of rooms that allow dogs, so your best bet is to pick a hotel and speak to them directly to ensure you aren’t booked in a room that would otherwise be dog friendly. Most major branded properties are dog friendly - delta, Hilton, Fairmont, Westin, Pan pacific, summit, etc. Also just FYI dogs are allowed in all shops and even some food establishment patios.

We like the Westin. At the top of the village. Park your car and walk, that way you can have a few drinks!

Check for “BC Resident” deals (sometimes free parking or free upgrade?) and bring benedryl if allergies are bad.. such a dog-centric tourist destination

I think the Hilton & Pan Pacific may still offer B.C. Residents rate if not you can always try Pinnacle, Aava, Pangea or Adara. Sometimes delta , Executive Inn & Listel are reasonable. Check out Resortquest (they’re a property mgmt company) and a couple of inexpensive properties worth checking out are Alpenglow or Cascade Lodge if you want more of a suite or airbnb

Not sure on pets because most in whistler allow them. But I’ve stayed at Blackcomb lodge, executive inn, listel & tantalus lodge and all were great and affordable ( for whistler) all close ish to village if not in the village.
Heard aava is affordable too. Stayed at Hilton a few weeks ago too for a great price.

Pan Pacific Mountainside does not allow pets (their sister property does). Stayed there a few weeks ago. Check if they still have their BC Resident special.

We liked Executive Inn At Whistler Village - local rate was very good right in village with a warm pool you can book.

We are currently in Whistler. I've heard the Alpenglow doesn't allow dogs. We're staying in the hotel next to it (Summit Lodge) which is VERY dog friendly. It's a good location.

We booked a night at Aava shortly which includes parking. Otherwise be prepared for additional parking cost of $25. -$30. Look at Travel Zoo.

Sharron last year was able to park at library for $5 overnight. Budgeted just in case that’s not avail though:-)

agree. Travelzoo voucher for Aava. Pool and hot tub open but limited access. Complimentary late check-out to noon upon request. Option to extend to 3pm for 10$ each extra hour.

Aava for more of a budget friendly option. Many hotels that are more expensive have deals on though.

vrbo, rented a 1 bedroom condo right at the village with pool and parking for 108 per night, over a weekend even. Great place. Northstar complex through harmony whistler vacations. Highly recommend it, close to everything

Aimee yes it was and it was limited to 21 people at a time so they try to advise 1 hr use when people are waiting to use it. But it was very nice

$100-150 is the going rate...not sure what your budget is

Stayed at The Listel 2 weeks ago and paid $112/ night for 2 queens. Very clean and close to the village

Travelzoo has good deals. We just came back from staying at the Hilton.

Helena we stopped at Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls on way up. Walked around village a few times. Steven’s into street photography so wanted to capture it in different light/time of day. We walked around Lost Lake and One Mile Lake (Just North of Pemberton, 20 ish min north of Whistler).

We just booked at Aava through Travelzoo. $109. with parking.
