Please share your transit experience in Dellas(DFW) by arriving air canada at gate E24 and to transfer to Gate D(Nicaragua), which train did you have to take? Skylink(CIS) or TerminalLink(COS)? Would 2 hrs lay over enough if I have only hand carry bags? The trip is in June and my understanding is I have to go through security again. Thanks so much!

If you have done Immigration in YVR, then you will do Skylink. If you have to do Immigration in Dallas, it will be Terminal LInk . Both are VERY EASY to use and very frequent trains... every minute or two it seems. Two hours is plenty of time if your flight is on time and if you have done immigration in Vancouver. https://www.dfwairport.com/connect/

Meme Thet I don't think you have to do security again. You are treated just like a US passenger transfering once you have done US immigration in Canada. The US doesn't care about people going out, just about those coming in, LOL!

Patty Yes, I recall they make us go through since in Vancouver and hoping the same.

DFW is prone to sudden rain and thunderstorms during the summer that will cause flight delays. I was stuck there for 6+ hours once, not knowing if I was flying or not. Just be aware.

I think you only have to collect and re-check bags if you change airlines, confirm with your airline before travelling. I’ve been led astray before and was with a group of people all waiting for bags that never came despite being told we had to by immigration staff. Was a gong show

Navigating Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport for a Transfer from Gate E24 to Gate D

Introduction

If you're arriving at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport on Air Canada at Gate E24 and need to transfer to Gate D (Nicaragua), you have two options for ground transportation: Skylink (CIS) or TerminalLink (COS). Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate the airport efficiently and determine if a 2-hour layover is sufficient.

Ground Transportation Options

* Skylink (CIS) Train: This automated people mover connects all five terminals and the DFW Airport Station. It operates 24 hours a day, every 2-3 minutes during peak hours and every 5-7 minutes during off-peak hours.
* TerminalLink (COS) Train: This is a separate automated people mover that connects Terminals A, B, C, and E only. It operates from 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM.

Transfer from Gate E24 to Gate D

To transfer from Gate E24 to Gate D, you will need to take the Skylink (CIS) Train.

* Follow the signs to the Skylink station in Terminal E.
* Board the Skylink train and take it to Terminal D.
* Once you arrive at Terminal D, follow the signs to your departure gate.

Security Screening

Yes, you will need to go through security screening again when transferring between terminals. Make sure to allow ample time for this process.

2-Hour Layover

If you only have hand carry bags and are familiar with DFW Airport, a 2-hour layover should be sufficient for making the transfer and navigating security. However, it's always recommended to allow more time, especially if you're unfamiliar with the airport or have checked baggage.

Additional Tips

* Check the DFW Airport website before your trip to verify train schedules and ensure there are no delays or disruptions.
* Download the DFW Airport app to track your progress and access real-time information.
* Allow at least 30 minutes for security screening and baggage claim if you have checked baggage.
* If you have any questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to ask airport staff.

Conclusion

By following these guidelines, you can navigate Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport seamlessly and ensure a smooth transfer from Gate E24 to Gate D. Remember to allow ample time for security screening and baggage claim if necessary. Bon voyage!
