Depending on where you are going, the companion fare deal sometimes does not save you a ton. We recently used ours to Mexico $299 plus fees and taxes, we saved only $250. With my limited knowledge of booking all inclusive packages that includes flights, I believe the deals are better than booking separately. When I did book hotel only many years ago, I used www.bookit.com. Prices are in USD so you have to do the math. Good luck.

Maybe I'll save the companion flight for a different trip then

Did you feel you saved?
Jennifer
I have booked directly with the hotel on their websites. Last time we used Bahia Principe, and their rates were lower than those on expedia or Booking. Com
ElleAura
Did you save buying separate? I was thinking of that resort actually, did you enjoy?
Jennifer
ElleAura . We did enjoy it. We had a westjet companion fare as well as a flight credit to use so it made sense for us to book the hotel separately. If you book via their website, they will include complimentary return transfers.

We booked our hotel and flights separate and definitely saved. We did not use a Canadian airline as they charged so much more....
we kinda if looked at cheapest flights and booked hotel accordingly.

Good to know!

Book your hotel separately. Find the resort you want to stay at, give them a call and book an all-inclusive option. Sites like bookit.com charge a fee that is rolled into the price, generally around 10%. Have fun!

Go directly to the hotel
Website for example Riu. I booked it separately for Panama last August.

Booking All-Inclusive Vacations Without Flight
Absolutely, it's entirely possible to book an all-inclusive vacation without including airfare. This option can be particularly appealing if you plan to drive to your destination or if you've already secured flights separately through frequent flyer miles, credit card rewards, or other means.
Benefits of Booking Accommodation and Meals Separately
- Flexibility: By booking the hotel/resort and flights separately, you have more flexibility in choosing your preferred airline, flight times, and routing.
- Potential Savings: In some cases, booking the components individually can be more cost-effective, especially if you can find discounted rates or package deals for accommodations.
- Ability to Mix and Match: You can mix and match different resorts or hotels within the same destination, allowing you to experience multiple properties during your vacation.
Websites for Booking All-Inclusive Vacations Without Flight
Here are some popular websites that offer the option to book all-inclusive resort stays without including airfare:
- Resort Websites: Many major all-inclusive resort chains, such as Sandals, Beaches, and AMResorts, allow you to book your stay directly on their websites without adding flights.
- Online Travel Agencies (OTAs): Sites like Expedia, Travelocity, and Orbitz offer the option to book "hotel only" or "package" deals that include accommodation and other components like meals, activities, and transfers, but exclude flights.
- Costco Travel: Costco's travel section offers a wide variety of all-inclusive resort packages without airfare, often at discounted rates for Costco members.
- Apple Vacations: This travel company specializes in all-inclusive vacation packages, and you can choose to book just the resort stay without flights.
- CheapCaribbean.com: As the name suggests, this website focuses on Caribbean destinations and offers all-inclusive resort bookings without airfare.
Using the WestJet Companion Flight Voucher
Since you mentioned having a WestJet companion flight voucher for $299 (plus taxes), you can certainly take advantage of that offer and book your flights separately from your all-inclusive resort stay. This way, you can potentially save money on airfare while still enjoying the convenience and benefits of an all-inclusive vacation package.
Remember to compare prices across multiple websites and consider factors like resort ratings, amenities, and location when choosing your all-inclusive destination and accommodation.

Does anyone ever book all inclusive vacations without flight? What sites would you use?
I have a new west jet card that gives me companion flight round trip for $299 (plus taxes).
