mexico resorts advise
Has anyone stayed at the Iberostar resorts in the Riviera Maya ? It has several resorts on the same property:
Lindo, Pariso maya, del mar and Pariso beach
I have read that the Pariso maya and lindo will give access to all the other resorts in the complex but Pariso beach and del mar are restricted to access with each other only.
Can anyone provide some insight and or recommendations?
Any insight on the beach and water conditions in December ? Snorkelling ? Swimming ?
Thank you

A great resort.
Lots of f/b outlets.
Book early for dinner.
Can’t speak of the water conditions for snorkeling.
We were there - 1 st week in February and it was choppy.
Great beach as we did go in every day.

We stayed at Del Mar a few years ago... The beach was Meh (compared to other beaches we have been to) and we were unable to go in the ocean as it was very rocky and the water was quute rough. The pools however, were awesome. That was in Sept.

I've stayed at the iberostar grand. This is the top tier of all the iberostar and gives access to all the down line resorts. We had a fantastic time and will be returning.

We stayed at the Tucan...further south in Playacar and it was our all time favourite. The beach was amazing and the food was great. All the staff were super friendly.

We stayed at the Tucan in November. Not a fan. You can find similar options for a cheaper price.

I stayed at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, did not much care for the food but the resort was nice and so was the beach. The ocean was a bit choppy though

I’ve heard food is just ok.
Is it bland ?
Lack of variety ?
I’m always curious if people report not great food, if there are rating international type food (American) or local cuisine like Mexican .
I feel if you are travelling local food is where it to get a fair assessment. Just curious

Charlott i found the food bland. It was definitely edible but not much flavour.

Yes one of them but can't remember exactly which one. It was nice but a bit crowded. Room was really nice. Not too big. One criticism is that they didn't handle a serious food allergy well unlike other Mexican properties we've stayed at.

I have stayed both at Beach and Lindo —twice each. The Iberostar complex is by far my favourite resort in the riviera maya. Excellent balance between $, food/entertainment/beach/facilities. 5/5 i will be back.

We booked the Iberostar Del Mar from agency, but we upgraded at the resort for the Lindo one, we love it. It was one of the best vacation ever, the beach was beautiful the services were excellent. We loved the Beach party in one og the nights. We were there in October.

We were underwhelmed. It is a huge resort. Beach was nice but lots of seaweed in October. Only do the adult only part.

We stayed at Lindo a few times... fantastic! U won’t be disappointed! Beautiful grounds.... clean nice rooms. The further up you stay in resort... the more selection of restaurants you have.

I’ve been to both maya and beach and they’re both amazing! Beach for both hotels are the same and great! Maya has premium liquor if thats something you’re into. You have more access to restaurants with maya, but beach gives you a fair amount of times. All of the restaurants are available despite you being part of another side of the property. Maya has elevators to go up their rooms while beach doesn’t. Its kinda handy. Dm if you have any other questions, i was just there last October!

Was in Dec with family. We loved it. Food was wonderful. Everyone friendly. Water can be a bit choppy in Dec but they clean the beach and no seaweed. There's a great fbgroup so add yourself and read up. Stay at Maya- we used sunwing and prices are same as lindo. Each building has a conceirge to book your rest. Or change room temp. Not sure about snorkling. Shopping area and golf carts to cart you around if you feel like it from any location. Loved it.

Is Iberostar Resorts in Riviera Maya Worth Visiting?

Nestled along the stunning Riviera Maya coastline in Mexico, the Iberostar Resorts complex offers a remarkable all-inclusive experience. With several resorts within the same property, it can be a bit confusing to navigate the different offerings and access policies. Here's a breakdown to help you make an informed decision.

The Resorts and Access Policies

The Iberostar Resorts complex consists of four main resorts:

  • Iberostar Paraíso Lindo
  • Iberostar Paraíso Maya
  • Iberostar Paraíso Del Mar
  • Iberostar Paraíso Beach

According to reports, guests staying at Iberostar Paraíso Lindo and Iberostar Paraíso Maya have access to all the amenities and facilities across the entire complex. However, guests at Iberostar Paraíso Del Mar and Iberostar Paraíso Beach have restricted access limited to their respective resorts.

Recommendations and Insights

Many visitors highly recommend staying at either Iberostar Paraíso Lindo or Iberostar Paraíso Maya for the best overall experience. These resorts offer more diverse dining options, activities, and access to the entire complex, including the beautiful beaches.

If you prioritize exclusivity and a more intimate atmosphere, Iberostar Paraíso Del Mar or Iberostar Paraíso Beach could be suitable choices. However, keep in mind that you may have limited access to certain amenities and facilities outside your respective resort.

Beach and Water Conditions in December

December is considered a great time to visit the Riviera Maya region. The weather is typically sunny and warm, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s Fahrenheit (24-28°C).

The beach conditions at the Iberostar Resorts complex are generally excellent during this time of year. The water is typically calm, clear, and ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The white sand beaches are well-maintained and offer ample space for relaxation and water activities.

Snorkeling in the region can be a fantastic experience, as the Caribbean Sea is home to vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. Be sure to inquire about guided snorkeling tours or excursions during your stay.

Overall, the Iberostar Resorts in Riviera Maya offer a luxurious and convenient all-inclusive vacation experience. With proper research and planning, you can choose the resort that best suits your preferences and desired level of access and exclusivity.
