Paul
$150 a night in Vancouver $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Maybe Motel 6
Sophia
Paul haha I know
what I want and what is realistic are two different things
Shabir
Sophia I have to agree with Paul. I lived there for years and go back regularly. You will struggle to find something worthwhile in that price range. More like 3 times that price
Shabir
Jarrod Evanyshyn that's true. I haven't looked recently
Paul
Sophia try the Fairmont downtown. They will give you a $125 pre-paid visa in return, maybe you can use that to go for a spa treatment
Freddy
Paul There are quite a few promos now in DT. They are hurting so check out marriott.com

Jacob
Check that link. You could save some money coz they offer prepaid visa if you stay in some of those hotels
Jenna
Black Rock Resort (I think it's called?) in Ucluelet did & might still have a healthcare discount. They have a spa but it might not be open due to COVID-19 (it was closed when I stayed in August)
Bohee
Jenna black rock does have a discount for hcp and their spa is indeed open. However, there are no rmts. I paid over $300 for a couples massage last week.
Dana
Scandanave spa in whistler has RMTs no hotel tho
Sharron
Agree. Whistler
Lena
We stayed at The Hotel BLU in Vancouver. We got a great deal there.
Elaine
Maybe Whistler if you go soon. You might find a promotional price.
Margaret
Stayvancouverhotels.com has some top hotels with the visa deal. Use the visa to pay less for the room.
Elise
We just spent the weekend at Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler...lovely accommodations for $160 a night (should season) and incredible spa!
Andrina
Elise +1 to Nita lake. They are wonderful.
Sarah
Century Plaza Hotel is showing rooms at $119 right now and they have an on-site spa with RMT. It’s in a great location downtown and most of the rooms are spacious suites. The hotel is family owned (support local!) and have been excellent neighbours during COVID. And they have excellent coffee in the cafe!
Cecilia
Agree with using the https://www.stayvancouverhotels.com/ to do the Visa gift card promotion. Not sure they have a spa on-site but I found dates from Sutton Hotel where it came to $50/night if you stay for 2 nights, after receiving $150 in Visa gift cards.
Spa Utopia (Pan Pacific Hotel that is also doing the Visa gift card promotion) has gift cards on sale from Costco for 20% off all the time. WaySpa giftcards, with hundreds of spa locations in Whistler and Vancouver (ie. Chi spa from Shangri-la Hotel), are also sometimes on sale from Costco.
If you can bundle the hotel Visa promotion and Spa giftcards discount from Costco it's going to be an amazing deal!
Jess
RiverRock Hotel (Richmond) has a spa with RMT
Joanne
JesseJames Farrugia River Rock has been closed for months.
Jess
Joanne
Danielle
JesseJames Farrugia all casinos have been.... But nice suggestion for after COVID!
Jess
Danielle I thought the hotel itself would’ve been open but guess not. It’s a nice hotel
Danielle
JesseJames Farrugia probably not worth it for them to stay open maybe if people can't access casino.
William
Pan Pacific at Canada place has a spa utopia.
Cole
Harrison Springs....spa is closed though
Lydia
Sutton Place hotel has a nice spa with RMTs, as does Fairmont Downtown, and Pan Pacific. Not sure of the nightly rates, but if you book with StayVancouver you get a nice discount. https://www.stayvancouverhotels.com/ Fairmont Pacific Rim and Hotel Georgia also have spas, but are bit expensive
Susan
Lydia Sutton has a great deal on now.

Century Plaza Hotel is usually quite affordable and has a nice spa. And if you're staying more then one night, Sutton place has had a ton of deals lately.
Eric
If you’re a healthcare worker, Marriott hotels has a “QWO” code that drops prices significantly. The JW Parq drops from 275 to 175 when using this code

Marriott hotels are offering health care discounts. Varies for property but the Westin Bayshore comes up at $109/night for December. Promo code is QWO but you have to show valid healthcare ID at check in. They do check! JW Park is about $170/night with the same discount, and others about $143/night.
Laura
The discount for healthcare workers is that for only Fraser Health? Can Interior Health receive it?

Spa Hotels and Staycations in Vancouver and Surrounding Areas
Looking for a relaxing getaway in the Vancouver area? You're in luck! From cozy Airbnb stays to luxurious spa hotels, there are plenty of options for a rejuvenating weekend escape.
Spa Hotels with RMT (Registered Massage Therapy)
While finding a nice spa hotel with RMT for under $150 per night can be challenging, there are a few options worth considering:
- Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort: This hotel offers a spa package with RMT treatments starting at around $189 per night. They often have promotional rates, so it's worth keeping an eye out.
- Century Plaza Hotel & Spa: Located in downtown Vancouver, this hotel features a full-service spa with RMT services. Prices can vary, but you may find deals around the $150 mark.
Affordable Spa Getaways
If your budget is tight, consider these more affordable spa experiences:
- Airbnb with Spa Services: Many Airbnb hosts in the Vancouver area offer in-suite massage or spa services. You can often find cozy apartments or suites for under $150 per night and add on spa treatments for an additional cost.
- Day Spa Packages: While not a full-fledged spa hotel, Vancouver has numerous day spas offering packages that include massages, facials, and other treatments. These can be a more budget-friendly option for a spa day or weekend.
Alternative Staycation Ideas
If a spa getaway isn't in the cards, here are some other fun staycation ideas in the Lower Mainland:
- Cabin or Cottage Rental: Escape to a cozy cabin or cottage in the nearby mountains or on one of the surrounding islands for a rustic weekend retreat.
- Urban Airbnb: Explore a new neighborhood in Vancouver by staying in a unique Airbnb rental. You can often find stylish apartments or lofts at reasonable prices.
- Outdoor Adventures: Take advantage of Vancouver's natural surroundings by planning a hiking, camping, or kayaking adventure in locations like Squamish, Whistler, or the Gulf Islands.
No matter your budget or preferences, there are plenty of options for a relaxing and rejuvenating staycation in the Vancouver area. Happy exploring!

Can anyone recommend some nice spa hotels in Vancouver or surround areas that have RMT? Around $150 a night or less but that is wishful thinking I’m sure (healthcare discounts?)!!
Or if you have some other stay and spa ideas that are close enough to the lower mainland to go for a weekend. air bnb recommendations welcomed as well.
We usually go to scandinave but Just trying to get some different local ideas this year.
