Hi Vicki.we went few yrs back to mean I Thailand. We stayed in the ao nang area and stayed at ao nang beach resort.right across st from beach.very cheap and clean with breakfast.not luxurious but clean and cheap and very central.would go back in heartbeat.hope this helps

Vietnam is amazing. Go to morning glory in hai an ( sorry spelling ) and take a cooking lesson it is amazing.

We were there a few years ago. Flew into krabi airport. Stayed in krabi town and bussed to beaches. Loved krabi town, incredible food and markets. Very local, super experience!!

Vicki sorry cannot remember the name. It was a few blocks from the night market. I used agoda for booking - usually a day or two before arrival.

don't leave things in your room and put a chair in front of your door. my friend was robbed while in her bed by a staffer with key. police did nothing. otherwise a great place. i love thailand.

Going on a tour to Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand next year. After the tour we are staying in Krabi, Thailand for 5 days (March). Would love suggestions for the area. We have yet to book a place to stay at this point either so suggestions for that would also be appreciated.
