Hey Justin, if you Google "sukiyabashi jiro reservation" I think you'll find lots of answers to your question. Reservations are phone only and start on the first of the month for all of the next month.

Thanks Andrew, yeah I also read that. I was more wondering of potential secret ways to secure the reservation. I'll keep looking!

In that case you should check out my answer to the other person who posted the same question as you this morning

yeah just saw the post you were referring to. This has always been in the back of my mind as well. I have a list of some other top sushi bars as well, but wouldn't they all pose the same sort of issue in terms of a formal booking via high-end hotel? My friends and I were lodging through airbnb in Tokyo, and are currently banking on our host trying to book for us. Thanks for your prompt replies, it is much appreciated!

If you have one of those premium credit cards - you can utilize the concierge services to make the booking.

@Katrina I kept researching and ended up doing that. I need to call back on August 1 to make my September reservation. Hopefully this works!

Making a reservation at this exclusive establishment can be a daunting task, but with proper planning and persistence, it is possible.

Reservations at Sukiyabashi Jiro are highly coveted and must be made months in advance. It is recommended to start the reservation process at least six months before your desired dining date. The restaurant accepts reservations on the first day of each month for the following month.

Tip:
If your Airbnb host is unable to help, consider contacting your hotel concierge or a reputable travel agency specializing in high-end dining experiences in Tokyo.
Step 3: Be Prepared for Strict Policies

- The restaurant only accepts reservations for the full course, which can cost around ¥40,000 (approximately $350) per person.

- Punctuality is essential, and latecomers may not be seated.
- There is a strict no-photography policy inside the restaurant.
- The dining experience lasts approximately 20 minutes, and diners are expected to finish their meal promptly.
Step 4: Be Persistent and Flexible
Due to the high demand, securing a reservation at Sukiyabashi Jiro can be challenging. Be prepared to be persistent and flexible with your travel dates. If your desired date is not available, consider adjusting your schedule to accommodate the restaurant's availability.
