We did air b&b and got a wicked deal for whistler last Christmas. It was an awesome family trip... lol. Although not warm at all
so nevermind. But I'd suggest air b&b. It was cheaper than any hotels that we could find and we got a whole cabin lakeside

We went to Costa Rica last Xmas booked around this time. Our flights were 630.00 pretty good
For over Xmas. The condo was a bit more but well worth every penny
Nadina
Are all the flights to Costa Rica through Toronto , from Vancouver ?
Shellie
No we went though Texas
Sharron
Depends which Airline. United goes through Houston, American through Dallas, etc.
Jeannett
We stopped vacations at Xmas. $&rip off
Cara
Unfortunately some people can only travel at Christmas, spring break and summer!
Cindy
We didn't enjoy Costa Rica very much. The street vendors were quite rude so didn't buy from them. Tragic in big city, San Jose , you are take your lives in your own hands. Weather and accommodations were beautiful. You could possibly get a good deal in Cuba and lots to explore off-resort.

Ageee!!
Cuba is a great deal anytime .
Check out Cayo Santa Maria . Stunning!!

Booking a Warm Family Vacation for Christmas
If you're hoping to take a warm family vacation over Christmas, it's best to book sooner rather than later. Prices for flights and accommodations tend to go up as the holiday approaches, so you'll save money if you book your trip in advance.
Here are a few tips for booking a warm family vacation for Christmas:
- Start planning your trip early. The best time to book flights and accommodations is 6-8 months in advance.
- Be flexible with your travel dates. If you can travel before or after Christmas, you'll likely find lower prices.
- Consider booking an all-inclusive resort. This can be a great way to save money on food and drinks, and it can also make it easier to plan your activities.
- Look for discounts and promotions. Many airlines and hotels offer discounts on Christmas travel, so be sure to check their websites before you book.
- Consider booking a cruise. Cruises can be a great way to see multiple destinations without having to pack and unpack your bags. They also offer a variety of activities and amenities that are perfect for families.
Here are a few recommended destinations for a warm family vacation over Christmas:
- Cancun, Mexico
- Orlando, Florida
- Hawaii
- The Bahamas
- Jamaica
No matter where you decide to go, be sure to book your trip early to get the best prices.

If wanting to do a family vacation somewhere warm over Christmas is it best to book sooner than later? Or do prices come down closer to? Christmas is the only time we can get away together but it's so much more expensive. Any recommendations on best ways to book are appreciated
All inclusive is preferred but would consider other or a cruise if a great deal. 3 adults & one child (16yrs old).
