The seats aren't noticeably bigger, and there is no shortcut at baggage check in for plus seat holders. The only advantage is that you're at the front and may get better service from the flight attendants
Amir
I could not tell the difference at all between the plus and normal seats
Tee
I booked the regular seats and paid extra to pick close to the front. I can always get a refund prior to 24 hours before the flight. Thanks all. @nadia - Im headed to JA too!

Flying WestJet Plus with Infants and Toddlers
If you're planning to travel alone with an infant and a toddler on a 4-hour flight, you might be wondering if it's worth upgrading to WestJet Plus. In this blog post, we'll explore the benefits of WestJet Plus and help you decide if it's the right choice for your family.
What is WestJet Plus?
WestJet Plus is the airline's premium economy class, offering additional perks and amenities compared to the regular economy cabin. Some of the benefits of flying WestJet Plus include:
- Extra legroom and wider seats
- Priority boarding
- Complimentary snacks and beverages
- Dedicated overhead bin space
- Enhanced in-flight entertainment (on select flights)
Is WestJet Plus Worth It for Families?
When traveling with an infant and a toddler, the extra space and amenities provided by WestJet Plus can make a significant difference in your overall travel experience. Here are some key considerations:
Extra Legroom and Wider Seats
The added legroom and wider seats in WestJet Plus can be a game-changer for parents traveling with young children. Having more space to move around and accommodate your little ones can make the entire journey more comfortable and less stressful.
Priority Boarding
With priority boarding, you'll be able to board the plane earlier and get settled in with your kids before the rest of the passengers. This can give you more time to organize your belongings and get your children situated without feeling rushed or cramped.
Dedicated Overhead Bin Space
Having dedicated overhead bin space ensures that you'll have enough room for your carry-on luggage, diaper bags, and other essentials without having to worry about finding space elsewhere.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately, whether or not WestJet Plus is worth it for your 4-hour flight with an infant and toddler comes down to your personal preferences and budget. While the added amenities and extra space can make the journey more comfortable, the cost of upgrading may not be feasible for everyone.
If you have the means and value a more relaxed and spacious travel experience, WestJet Plus could be a worthwhile investment. However, if you're on a tight budget or feel that you can manage the regular economy cabin, you may decide to opt for the standard seating.
Regardless of your choice, be sure to plan ahead, pack essentials for your children, and don't hesitate to ask for assistance from the flight attendants if needed. Safe travels!
