hard to save during high season. Flights are pricey, best place to save is on rooms and food. Check out booking.com for rooms. Sign up for Secret deals with booking. Also IF you are comfortable with not having rooms booked until last minute then you can do well with laterooms. com

Pm me for info on Spain. We were there last July.

Check out the trip advisor forums, we used them tonnes to plan our Honeymoon last June to Italy. The lonely planet website has alot of good info on there too. Personally I would book all hotels in advance, July is high season in Europe!!

Booking apartments on airbnb.com can really help, too. Often they come with kitchens so you can cook breakfast or lunch in, and save the dining out for the evenings!

Not the most romantic of options, but I'd check out some of the hostels in each city and see how nice they are. Some hostels I've stayed in (Whistler, Tofino) have been nicer than a lot of hotels I've seen. And don't worry, they have private rooms
I find it's a great way to save money, meet new people who will often share their local knowledge (moreso than a hotel front desk), and it provides a more fun atmosphere. But it all depends on what kind of trip you want. I'll pick fun over luxurious almost any day of the week.

These are are great tips... Thanks! Any info on best way to get around from city to city? Is rail the best or car rental or flights?
Angela
Again, I would personally mix it up a bit! Relax and watch the world fly by on the train, take a car to smaller cities, and flights for big "jumps".

We did the same trip you did about 8 years ago. Trains are cheap and great if you can sleep on them, will save a night of hotels. Also, Spain has a discount airline you can fly, really reasonable. Morocco - from south of Spain, take ferry to tangiers, spend the day, night train to Marrakech or to fez. In Europe, apartments are great, get to live in a local neighbourhood, can dine in for some meals, and way more space for less money.

Evelyn Lee Do you know the name of the budget airline?

spain also has a great bus system that'll get you between a number of the cities . search up alsa bus - you'll need a paypal account, but otherwise a good inexpensive way to get around and doesn't take too long either. it's 3 hours from seville to to granada, granada to madrid is probably about 5 hours. if you prefer the train, then maybe look into getting a eurail pass for spain, adventure travel company in vancouver can issue them on the spot and have train maps in their store

Planning Your Honeymoon to Europe
Congratulations on your upcoming honeymoon to Europe! Planning a trip to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco sounds like an amazing adventure. Here are some tips on how to save money while still getting the most out of your trip:
1. Book Early
Try to book your flights and accommodations as early as possible to take advantage of early bird deals. Airlines and hotels often offer discounted rates for those who book in advance.
2. Look for Deals
Keep an eye out for deals and discounts on travel websites and apps. Websites like Skyscanner, Kayak, and Expedia often have great deals on flights and hotels. You can also consider booking a package deal that includes both flights and accommodations.
3. Travel Off-Peak
Consider traveling during the shoulder season, which is typically in the spring or fall. Prices for flights and accommodations are often lower during these times, and you'll also avoid the crowds of tourists that come during the peak summer months.
4. Use Public Transportation
Instead of renting a car or taking taxis everywhere, consider using public transportation like buses and trains. It's often much cheaper and a great way to experience the local culture.
5. Stay in Budget Accommodations
Look for budget accommodations like hostels, Airbnb rentals, or guesthouses. These options are often much cheaper than hotels and can provide a more authentic travel experience.
6. Eat Like a Local
Avoid eating at touristy restaurants and opt for local eateries instead. Not only will you save money, but you'll also get to taste authentic cuisine.
We hope these tips help you save money on your honeymoon to Europe. Have a fantastic trip!
