We found it to be run down, small rooms, food was ok not the greatest if you are a foodie restaurants where ok as well make sure to reserve all early. Pools where good. The staff for me is what makes the hotel, I give it 2 maybe 3 out of 5 star . The hotel is not an open concept like all most hotels in Mexico feels very closed. Not my fav probably wouldn’t go back to that one .

I agree with Wendy, we wouldn’t go back to this Hard Rock. There’s a fabulous hotel a bit further out called iberostar playa mita, the food & staff were fab and the best entertainment we have experienced in Mexico. We also really enjoyed Fiesta Americana.

We have stayed at Paradise Village and at Hard Rock Nuevo Vallarta multiple times (approx 20 stays between the two of them). We enjoy them both. I'm surprised at the negative comments about the Hard Rock Nuevo. We love the food (especially the Japanese Restaurant) and we love the location (excellent beach for volleyball and swimming, and close to a mall for supplies). I don't think the rooms at Hard Rock are run down at all, and the service is excellent. If you like to watch high caliber beach volleyball there will be 100 players there for tournaments for 3 of the 5 weeks between Nov7-Dec10.

Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta Review: Rock On or Roll Away?

So, you're thinking of hitting up the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta next month? Excellent choice! I stayed there last year and had a blast. To help you decide if it's the right fit, here's a breakdown of my experience:

Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta

The Good Times (Pros):

  • Location, Location, Location: The resort is beautifully situated on the beach with stunning views of Banderas Bay. It's also a short cab ride from the charming town of Puerto Vallarta.
  • All-Inclusive Bliss: The food and drinks were top-notch, with a variety of restaurants offering everything from casual snacks to upscale dining. The unlimited cocktails were a definite plus!
  • Activities Galore: Whether you want to lounge by the pool, hit the beach, or participate in organized activities, there's something for everyone. The nightly entertainment was also a highlight.
  • Rock 'n' Roll Vibe: The hotel's music-themed decor and memorabilia are a fun touch, creating a unique atmosphere.
  • Comfortable Rooms: The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfy beds and all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay.

The Not-So-Good Times (Cons):

  • Can Get a Bit Loud: If you're looking for a quiet, secluded getaway, this might not be the place for you. The resort can get lively, especially around the pool area.
  • Timeshare Presentations: Be prepared for some gentle persuasion to attend a timeshare presentation. Just politely decline if you're not interested.
  • Wi-Fi Can Be Spotty: While the Wi-Fi is generally good, there can be occasional connectivity issues, especially in certain areas of the resort.

Overall Verdict:

Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta. It's a great choice for those seeking a fun, vibrant vacation with plenty of activities, good food, and a rocking atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it!

Tips for Your Trip:

  • Book in advance, especially during peak season.
  • Take advantage of the resort's activities and entertainment.
  • Explore the nearby town of Puerto Vallarta.
  • Pack light clothing, swimwear, and sunscreen.

Have a fantastic time at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta! Rock on!
