Not as good as the westjet lounge but if you can get in for free or with passes it’s worth it.

Profile picture of Lisa

Lisa

Angelina so perhaps not at $50 pp x 3?

Profile picture of Angelina

Angelina

Lisa I wouldn’t, no. It’s pour your own drinks and mediocre food so if I didn’t have unlimited access to the lounges I wouldn’t pay that for that lounge. There are a couple nearby restaurants where I could get 1-2 better drinks and decent food before the flight

Profile picture of Lorelle

Lorelle

Lisa no! You could have a decent meal and order drinks and still have money left for that cost!!

Profile picture of Lisa

Lisa

Angelina tnx, yours and the other comments have been helpful. Not flying until mid April, still good to know

Angelina what time do they serve alcohol in the WJ lounge?

Profile picture of Jennifer

Jennifer

Jacqueli I’ve been in the WJ lounge at 7 am and they serve Bailey’s with coffee and mimosas only at that time.

Profile picture of Angelina

Angelina

Jacqueli good Q, I thought when they open but usually do not get there until late morning most flights.

Profile picture of Tracy

Tracy

Jacqueli not until 11. Deal breaker for a morning flight for me

Profile picture of Jennifer

Jennifer

Sherry I have accessed the WJ lounge before travelling to Mexico last year (long walk over to the lounge), but was unable to do so when travelling to other international destinations in the fall.

Profile picture of Jennifer

Jennifer

Sherry found the answer… you can access it for all flights except to the US.

Sherry but you can access for non-US flights…

Couple things of mediocre finger food with an open bar and moderately comfortable seating. You can mix your own drinks and take a couple pieces of fruit. Great if free, would probably struggle to pay $30 usd per person for it unless I was going for a bunch of drinks

That lounge is often overcrowded. Hard to find decent seats. Food is very basic. I get in free but I would def not pay $50 to get in. There is a nice Volo vino restaurant nearby (if I remember correctly). It always looks peaceful and has some good offerings.

Profile picture of Jennifer

Jennifer

westjet Elevation lounge is much better than the Aspire international lounge, IMHO. Food and beverage-wise. And service.

Profile picture of Patsy

Patsy

Not as good as it used to be, but it beats paying out of pocket in other places (assuming you have a pass).

Profile picture of Henry

Henry

The service and food is average, westjet lounge is better service

Profile picture of Lily

Lily

It’s ok. I have free access so I use it, but if I had to pay, I wouldn’t find it worth the cost. The food is average. I don’t drink alcohol, but may be worth it if you do

Profile picture of Megan

Megan

The food is not very impressive. $50 per person for 3 people you may not get your moneys worth in my opinion. If you drink alcohol you might tho!

Profile picture of Lisa

Lisa

Megan likely not that much

Christin

We don’t pay so we always go to the lounge before a trip. It’s okay. It’s nice to have comfortable seats to sit in and something to eat and drink. Though like others said the food is just okay. They could do better

Lily

A calm oasis!
But no alcohol served before 11:00 am.

Profile picture of Tracy

Tracy

Lily I have definitely made my own cocktails in this lounge at 7am.

Profile picture of Ev

Ev

Tracy yes, me too, but they stopped having alcohol available before 11AM.

Profile picture of Tracy

Tracy

So now there isnt a lounge in YYC where you can have alcohol before 11am?

Profile picture of Beth

Beth

Tracy I flew out of there this morning, there’s not any hard liquor or wine but they do have baileys for your coffee

Profile picture of Marley

Marley

Tracy they just changed it in November ish they said. We flew a few weeks ago and didn’t know, super disappointed that it was only Baileys and didn’t get our moneys worth.

Profile picture of Tracy

Tracy

Marley I'm glad to know this.

Profile picture of Chris

Chris

Tracy they changed it! We flew in December and it was no alcohol before 11am.
We popped over to another restaurant for a drink

Profile picture of Tracy

Tracy

Christine Leslie airport drinks are my favorite. I'm good at bringing my own

Profile picture of Chris

Chris

Tracy mine too!

Profile picture of Tracy

Tracy

Christine did you know you can bring liquor in your carry on? Once you are thru security you just have to buy a vitamin water or something and top it up

Profile picture of Barb

Barb

Lily I had booze before 11!

Profile picture of Ashley

It's just ok... the food is meh but there is a decent drink selection. Last couple of times we have been it has been packed, not a lot of seats.

There's a YouTube video if you look. The traveller said it was ok. https://youtu.be/YB3wXvmOn0E?si=gbOAdGH5ljFSwz7k

YYC Aspire Lounge at Calgary Int'l Airport (WORTH IT???)

Profile picture of David

David

It’s basic. Some hot foods and cold. Small selection of drinks. Good space.

Profile picture of Kim

Kim

We don’t mind it. Have passes though! Small buffet and self serve booze. If you plan to eat and get 1-2 drinks in the terminal, the lounge cost is worth it

Profile picture of Sherry

Sherry

It's your only option for international. And unless you have free entry I wouldn't waste your money. Just go to the pub.

Luke

Nothing great but good enough with passes.

Used to be $30 to get in a few years ago

Ev Only Baileys.

Profile picture of Ev

Ev

Karim nope. Not even, last time I was there.

Profile picture of Karim

Karim

Ev I was there a few weeks ago and it was there. I guess they took that away too. I agree the food is not the best but if you have access it’s still better than some of the food in the food court.

Wow !! Surprised by so many negative comments, I make I get there 3 hrs before flight so I can relax and enjoy it

We've always enjoyed it

We love that lounge. Use if frequently when flying. It has good food and if you are lucky has 3 beds that you can use to lay down. Used to be $30USD or free with Dragon Pass, but now is $50 USD. Not the best by some standarda but works for me and my family.

Profile picture of Cheryl

Cheryl

Meh

Profile picture of Lisa

The food is basic buffet and there are only 2-3 hot things that are average to lukewarm poor. Even breakfast isn’t great. Think free hotel breakfast quality. For $50pp I would skip it.
