Looking for Hotels in Vancouver with Long-Term Parking Options?

Question:

Hello. We're from central BC and will be driving to Vancouver then flying from there. Does anyone know if any of the hotels near the airport allow you to keep your vehicle at the hotel during your time away? We need a hotel before and after our trip. It needs to be a hotel with a shuttle as we've never ridden on public transit (we don't have such things up here) or is it just better to park at the airport and if so does that process take awhile or is it quick?

You could ask sandman signature they also have free shuttle service to the airport

Park in the long-term lot. Much cheaper, and you just hop on the SkyTrain to get to the airport.

Profile picture of Charlene

Lynne where is the long term parking lot? We've never used the sky train.

But if she needs accommodation as well, this isn't the cheaper route.

Just google YVR and book your long term parking online . Ir parknfly or jetset you can google coupons, print them and present when paying. It’s all much cheaper if you book ahead of time. Also if you are traveling at peak season it gets full. They all have free shuttles to the airport .

Accent Inn does long term parking and shuttle service if you stay with them. Our family has used it many times over the years

Coast Hotel on Marine Drive. Allows 15 days parking. We've stayed twice. They have free shuttle service to and from the hotel and airport.

Same with a lot of the hotels around accent Inn, I would call to double check but they know a lot of customers are doing what you are doing

Stay at either the Travelodge or Sandman in Richmond. You can park your car there under the park-sleep-fly packages. The shuttle will take you to the airport and back to the hotel when you return. If you need longer than 2 weeks, you can usually pay extra for a few more nights. Make sure you ask the front desk about the shuttle when you check in, sometimes you need to pre-book the shuttle.

Google airport hotels. Most have shuttles and many have free parking while you are away. Airport shuttles take you directly to departures. We have found airport long term parking to be expensive.

How long is your trip ? I’ve used Park n Fly tons of times , usually about $100 for 8 days to park there. And a shuttle brings you to your terminal.

If you are looking for Spring Break dates I can save you some time and tell you that from my research there aren’t any good hotel/parking combo deals left. But using the park and fly with a coupon is economical. There is often coupons on the YVR airport website or discounts through BCAA or other ways, you can call them and ask. And they have a shuttle to the airport. Quick and easy.

Not sure when it's spring break as where we live spring break runs into Easter. We will be home by March 12

We always use Sandman signature, it has a free airport shuttle that runs 24/7 (most hotel shuttles are limited hours) and offers parking for your vehicle for the time your away on your trip.

Sky train is very easy to use and there is always someone there to help you. Probably a little further out you could find a hotel to leave your car at.

There are a few that will keep your vehicle at no extra charge and they have a shuttle

We have stayed at Coast Hotel several times. You can leave vehicle there. There will be a charge for nights other than 2 you are spending there. Very convenient with 24 hr shuttle. We are leaving our car at Park N Fly next week. After taxes, etc cost for the 2 weeks and a couple days is $180. with AAA discount.

Most airport hotels do allow it in my experience. Most will charge a fee. We have stayed at different ones. Most have a free shuttle but check the schedule (leave on the hour or half-hour)or call the hotel.. you may need to book if you are leaving early or late at night

Coast Hotel kept our car for 3 weeks, no charge as long as we stayed there, which we did, for 2 nights, one at each end of the trip. I think they charge now but it's reasonable.

Give a close look at the expenses of fuel, hotel and parking and your time! You may find that the flight PG to YVR is cheaper than the expenses associated to go via vehicle.

Profile picture of Charlene

Charlene

Mich unfortunately best rate is over $700 (with luggage it's over 800)and we have to get two nights anyways. We sure wanted to fly

Make sure you inquire if your car will be in a secure area, take photos of your vehicle, just in case, and do not leave anything, of value or otherwise , in your vehicle.

Accent Inn offers 7 nights free parking if you stay pre-flight. You must reserve the parking spot in their secure lot. They also have a free shuttle to the airport.

Profile picture of Daphne

How long are you going for?. Jet set parking has a shuttle. The long term parking you take the shuttle but thw regular jet set has the shuttle
.if you have bcaa prebook online for a better rate. Then you cam stay anywhere cheap

If you use any parking facility/hotel in Vancouver, make sure that it has some sort of security. Leave absolutely nothing inside your vehicle that can be in view and construed as something of value. Thieves are well aware of vehicles that are being parked close to YVR for the purpose of airline travel. A lot of times vehicles are out of view of hotel staff and no security cameras are available to watch the parking lot activity. Good luck.

We just booked this exact thing last night. We are staying at the Hampton Inn on Bridgeport Rd in Richmond and they have a deal that includes parking your car for a week (or longer if needed) and one nights room for $225. This includes breakfast and shuttle to and from the airport and the hotel is super close to the airport. Parking is secure.

Accent Inn offers free long term parking. They also offer complimentary coffee, tea, water, fruit and cookies which Coast does not.

Hampton or Holiday Inn. Both have shuttle service If you say one night you get
7 days free parking, so stay one night prior departure and stay one night upon return equals 14 days parking. Both with continental breakfast and I think the Hampton gives paper bag to go if you leave prior to breakfast (muffin, yogurt, juice, piece of fruit). We were also to leave all our belonging from the car with them in there storage. Room, that included heavy winter attire, boots, etc. Clean your car out of everything you do not need for the trip. Don’t leave even 25 cents in loose change in the vehicle! We even left the empty glove box and storage compartments with covers open showing them empty. Photo vehicle prior to leaving. Most important! Have a good time.
