Should I Wait for a Better Deal on a Las Vegas Vacation Package?

Question:

After a week worth of research I'm hooked up to buy a Las Vegas vacation package (flight+hotel+all taxes, for 3 nights) with westjet for $650 on Nov 20th weekend, to attend a conference. Should I buy this deal, or wait, or could there be other options for a cheaper price? Please advise!

That sounds pretty good, where are you staying, and what time are the flights? I know they have a flight home that leaves at 9-10 pm which means an extra night in hotel in Vancouver

Thanks folks. I'm aiming to stay at the Palm Resort, the flight arrives at LAS at 12.45 pm on Thursday, and returns at 12.45 am on Monday morning at YVR, which is 30min drive from my home. Consider all these $650 still a good deal? The package includes resort fee $28 USD per night, it says

I'm going with my bf from nov 17-20, flight and hotel we paid 1000 for 1 night at planet Hollywood and 2 nights at aria flying air canada. No resort fee included

Yes it's still a good deal! Resort fee is about 30$ a day

I think you can do better than that.
Wait until price drops below $500 if you have the guts to wait until the last minute.

Keep your eye on Alaska/Aliegiant flights out of Bellingham. I recently got a round trip Nov 10 - 14 - $120usd. (1 Checked luggage prepaid). (Sorry flight/price is gone now but keep checking for new dates). I recommend staying at Hooters (cheesy stupid name I know but perfectly decent hotel and casino near the strip). Usually they have rooms go for $39/night. No spa/pool fees that I recall.

The problem for your trip is that you're going over the weekend, prices jump a lot for hotel rooms over the weekend in Vegas.

Las Vegas Vacation Package: Should I Buy Now or Wait?

You've done your research, and you're ready to book a Las Vegas vacation package. But should you buy now, or wait? Here are a few things to consider:

Current Prices

The current price for a 3-night Las Vegas vacation package with WestJet is $650. This includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and all taxes. This is a good price, especially if you're traveling during peak season.

Future Prices

It's difficult to predict future prices, but there are a few factors that could affect the cost of your vacation package.

  • Airfare: Airfare prices can fluctuate depending on the time of year, the day of the week, and the availability of seats. If you're flexible with your travel dates, you may be able to find cheaper airfare.
  • Hotel accommodations: Hotel prices can also fluctuate depending on the time of year and the availability of rooms. If you're willing to stay in a less desirable hotel or in a less desirable part of town, you may be able to find cheaper accommodations.
  • Taxes: Taxes on vacation packages can vary depending on the destination. If you're traveling to a destination with high taxes, your vacation package will be more expensive.

Other Options

In addition to WestJet, there are a number of other airlines that offer vacation packages to Las Vegas. You may be able to find a cheaper package by comparing prices from different airlines.

You may also want to consider booking your flights and hotel separately. This can sometimes be cheaper than booking a vacation package, but it can also be more inconvenient.

Conclusion

Ultimately, the decision of whether to buy now or wait depends on your individual circumstances and preferences. If you're flexible with your travel dates and you're willing to stay in a less desirable hotel, you may be able to find a cheaper vacation package. However, if you're looking for the best possible deal, you may want to book your vacation package now.
