Dylan
Cal Lake beach in Vernon
Lisa
Actually it’s Kal lake
Linda
Radium hot springs
Anna
Linda last week Radium Hot Springs was closed due to Covid.
Anna
It is the hot springs pools in Radium that are currently closed, not the actual town.

Drive to Jasper in one day. Or just stop halfway. You will want as much time as possible in the Rockies. Its amazing.
Kate
In Jasper, maligne canyon, maligne lake, Edith Cavell glacier, the tram ride, miette hot springs, then the drive to banff you stop a lot as there is so much to see, peyto lake is amazing, there is an app you can listen to in your car that will explain the history and all of the stops, it’s awesome! Lake Louise, then so much to see around Banff, emerald lake in yoho, sooo much to do there.
Laurel
5 days of driving a RV from Vancouver to Banff and Jasper and back to Vancouver? Presume your driving the Yellowhead. So much to see, so little time. Lake Louise, Miette Hot Springs, Enchanted Forest numerous hikes, waterfalls etc

While in jasper we did a white water rafting excursion. That was a lot of fun

Go to the info centre in Jasper for lots of good suggestions. Pyramid Lake is beautiful, Lake Edith is the locals lake. Rent a little boat on Lac Beauvert where the Jasper Park Lodge sits. Beautiful walk around Lake. For SURE get to Maligne Lake early morning and take the first boat tour.

Go on a glacier walk with Athabasca Glacier Ice Walks. You won't regret it! icewalks.com

Last fall we drove from Edmonton to Vancouver through Jasper and I wouldn’t camp there again. All the forest was dead. I felt like it was all a forest fire just waiting for a lightening strike. The mountains are impressive, the forest- red and dead.
Jan
Linda Friends were camping there in June and said it was great. Construction/renovations finished, more electrical sites, few people...
Jan
I stand corrected. There's still a lot of construction going on in the Jasper campsites. The potential is great.
Larry
Wells Grey Park. All the amazing waterfalls
Sally
Are we allowed to travel in AB right now??? Everything I can find says they are in Phase 2 and visitors from anywhere must quarantine for 2 weeks. All the AB govt notes were very vague about what people from BC can do
Barbara
Sally I’m interested to know this as well. We have heard conflicting stories. Some BC people have no difficulties and others do
. Please share if you learn anything.
KM
Barbara Sure. As far as from reading Alberta guidelines we are allowed to travel within provinces
Chris
Just curious where you've read that visitors from anywhere to Alberta are required to quarantine for 2 weeks. As far as I know, it's only if you're arriving from somewhere outside of Canada. Alberta government website: https://www.alberta.ca/isolation.aspx
The only restriction I'm aware of, if you're coming from somewhere else in Canada to Alberta, is that campsites are only open to Alberta residents.
Barbara
Chris have you heard about the vandalism to out of province vehicles? Fact or fiction?
Chris
I don't think the vandalism is necessarily 'fictional' - but likely overblown. Have seen numerous reports from people in the Facebook groups who have travelled between Alberta and BC without incident. Haven't heard from anyone who was vandalised.
Sally
Thank you. I just found the AB govt website vague. There was nothing specific about Canadians travelling from outside AB to AB. Given how the maritimes don't seem to want any of those people out west visiting without quarantine and YT only recently allowing BC residents in, I just didnt want to make the effort to be turned away at the border.... But seems like it's OK for us BC residents to travel to AB. Thanks!
KM
Sally Thanks
Dyala
Banff is beautiful , you will love it
Jan
Do make sure you bring lots of supplies and wear masks when inside public bldgs. Tourist towns appreciate the tourist dollars but are sensitive about outsiders coming into their communities and potentially bringing covid.
KM
Jan Sure. We already packed a lot.
