I’m doing one through Mount Royal. I like it, but I got work abroad anyways without it. I think it just depends on where you want to teach.

I took it through Global TESOL. It was pretty good. You don't need it but it's really good information. I went abroad afterwards and got a job pretty quickly. The only thing I recommend is check out work visas. Some countries require you to have a degree to get a work visa, but have exceptions. So just becareful of business visas and such. You can conduct business but you can't work.

I took the ITTT course it was good (google it). I have taught in Russia, Taiwan, Korea and in Chile for over 8 years. Get the tutor support for the course - it is worth it. I enjoy living in different countries - each unique. Best paying countries are in Asia (Korea, Japan, Taiwan) and the Middle East. Lowest paying - some in south america, China. Some countries also need a university degree to teach so check that.

Teaching English Abroad with an Online TEFL Course

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) can be an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing you to travel the world, immerse yourself in new cultures, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. With the rise of online education, it's now possible to obtain your TEFL certification through an online course, opening up opportunities to teach abroad.

My Experience with an Online TEFL Course

I recently completed an online TEFL course through International TEFL Academy, and I can highly recommend their program. The course was comprehensive, covering everything from teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques to lesson planning and cultural awareness.

One of the standout features of the International TEFL Academy course was the practical teaching experience. I had the opportunity to deliver live teaching sessions with real English language learners, providing invaluable hands-on experience and feedback from experienced instructors.

Teaching Abroad with an Online TEFL Certification

Upon completing the course and obtaining my TEFL certification, I was able to secure a teaching position at a language school in South Korea. The process of finding a job was relatively straightforward, thanks to the comprehensive job guidance and support provided by International TEFL Academy.

Teaching abroad has been an incredible adventure. Not only have I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for the English language, but I've also gained a deeper appreciation for different cultures and made lifelong connections with my students and fellow teachers.

Why Choose an Online TEFL Course?

Online TEFL courses offer several advantages over traditional in-person programs:

  • Flexibility: You can complete the course at your own pace, fitting it around your existing commitments.
  • Cost-effective: Online courses are generally more affordable than in-person programs.
  • Accessibility: You can enroll in an online course from anywhere in the world, eliminating the need for travel or relocation.

Final Thoughts

If you're considering teaching English abroad, I highly recommend exploring online TEFL courses as a viable option. The International TEFL Academy course provided me with the knowledge, skills, and certification necessary to embark on this life-changing adventure. With the right preparation and mindset, teaching English abroad can be an incredibly rewarding and enriching experience.
